The media needs to stop normalizing these people and stop calling them “alt-right”… call them what they ARE: Neo-Nazis. White supremacists.
Also Ann freaking Coulter makes me RAAAAAAGE. I despise her.
Then there is this:
Trump on alt-right supporters: "It's not a group I want to energize. And if they are energized I want to look into it and find out why."
— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) November 22, 2016
Alright, but how about you look into the things you’ve said that made them back you in the first place? Walls, xenophobia, “all Mexicans are rapists” etc. And the fact that you’ve instated their freaking poster boy as your chief of staff!

Exactly. They all deny they are connected, but all you have to do is look at what Trump is speaking out against and what he is silent about.
Cast of Hamilton hurts Pence’s pride? He’s all over it.
Nazis convene in DC and shout Hail Trump? Not a word.
Also, he basically came out and admitted that he has conflicts of interest and says we should just accept them:

You wanna take offence?
Donny twits that his mate Nige should be UK ambassador to US. Ignores fact we already have one. Ignores fact that not member of governing party. “Ignores fact” a DT recommendation makes it impossible.
So many twits, and Donny and Nige are prime examples.

Not sure how anyone can think Nigel Farage would be decent for anything in UK politics.
As for the far alt right we knew they existed and had these meetings. Hopefully the more they are reported in the press the more people will see how stupid and pathetic they are with their views and they are tackled. Being highlighted will hopefully mean they are challenged – tho I doubt it.
And Mr Trump has decided not to go after Hillary and jail her for the emails. Surely no one is surprised at this.

Who knows what he will actually do? I hear he may be changing his mind about climate change being a hoax, and that his first 100 day plan has no mention of a wall or deportations.
I do think we will probably see extremist viewpoints being normalized through the media.
And they are for sure talking about getting rid of Medicare and Social Security, and they are planning to take away time-and-a-half overtime pay for about 20 million people.

Apologies. I’m told I should offer. Seems somewhere above I said twits instead of tweets. Couple of PMs suggesting I got that wrong. Don’t think I did. Twits seems mild to me. But – hey, ho! not going to be around for a few days, and don’t want to leave a bitter taste – I should have said tweets and did not mean to infer anything by my use of the word “twits”. Their actions define them.

People PM’d you over that and you have to apologise!!
Is the word ‘twit’ offensive? Change the ‘i’ to an ‘a’ and I might understand where folk are coming from.

The Twits is the title of a children’s book by Roald Dahl. It can’t be that offensive of a word.

Twit, meaning a silly or stupid person, is noted as “informal” in the Oxford English Dictionary and the Merriam Webster, but is not noted as vulgar.
Replace the i with an a, however, and the resulting word is noted as vulgar in both of those dictionaries.
The other word, not twit, is very offensive to many people, i think its one of the more offensive swear words.

Really? I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone take it as offensive over here, the only other meaning bar as an insult would be slang for a vagina or somefink along those lines but if someone called me a replace-the-i-with-an-a I wouldn’t bat an eyelid. The only “taboo” words round these sticks would be the obvious racial slurs and the c-word and even then people say ‘cut with an n’ quite often.

Where I live and where i go nobody would take offensive either. It seems to be one of the very few swear words that seems to remain on the ‘not to be said’ list.

It seems to be more a more serious word in Australia than the UK, oddly.
And here there are various righties enjoying Trump’s win and hoping it translates to them, which tells you all you really need to know about Australian politics. Except its mean to call us racists, apparently. But we are.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

I like how you put that in quotations even though he literally never said that.
I also think it’s also noteworthy that Trump’s wife is an immigrant, and he has said that he supports immigration as long as it is legal. Why does wanting people to do things legally make him a bad guy?

@Little Piggy Dragonguy Because not everyone has the resources to do it legally; they are coming from a war, for example.

There are still ways to come here or stay legally by trying to obtain asylum or refugee status, for example.
