I always cheer on the animal whenever they rebel against their trainer- serves you right for trying to domesticate a wild animal- you numpty!
I remember seeing a video of Tyke, an elephant that broke free from the circus, she ended up killing her trainer and injuring her groomer, after suffering years of abuse. She eventually got shot and killed by the police but you see this horrible sadness in her eyes just before she dies. It’s heartbreaking.
It shows you can never really tame a wild animal, nor should you try to.
Warning: Video shows two men being mauled by an elephant and the later shooting of her.

Um, they aren’t trying to domesticate since that requires generations of selective breeding which is practically impossible for elephants due to their long time to grow up.
They are intend trying to tame the elephants but in really bad ways. Animals can be tamed, it just depends on the Animal and how you go about it, being cruel to the animal is not taming, it’s torturing. Taming is about forming a partnership with the animal so they both lose their fear of eachother.
Domestication isn’t all bad, that’s how we got dogs and horses along with cats which can form a team. Some people would be dead without domestic animals since there are plenty of stories where their pet saves them and the other way too. By domesticating plants, animals and some fungus, we were able to advance our society to the level it is now.

Disney may have their first lesbian couple in the film ‘Finding Dory’ (they haven’t said yes or no as no doubt depending on their answer folk from one side or the other will be spitting blood whilst making ludicrously stupid claims) and as per usual some are deeply offended by such a possible act and are threatening to boycott the film. I get their reasons for why but i don’t understand why. Who gives a s**t? All that should matter surely is if the film is any good.

You did enough to bring it up to the forum out of the thousands of news events going on you picked this one to share.

Eh? My point and reason for doing so is that people are threatening to boycott an animated film because it may have a lesbian couple – I find that to be incredibly stupid.

Honestly, I think it’s kind of silly that people are paying attention to this whatsoever. It’s something that may or not be in a children’s movie that hasn’t come out yet that I will almost certainly never bother to see anyways. I neither cheer for this, nor react with anger because I just care so little about it.

i mentioned this in another thread, but i was asked not to discuss it there, so 50+ dead in Orlando with more in critical condition. It bloody makes me sick. This is what happens when the government lets idiots own guns. The people did NOTHING wrong, and what annoys me the most is the media constantly saying things like “it doesnt matter that it was a gay bar, it could’ve happened anywhere, stop making this about yourselves” well no, because it was specifically a bloody hate crime. The guy who shot them even said that it was a hate crime against gays. It makes me sick to think that this has claimed so many lives yet no one seems to really give a s**t. Its whats wrong with the world and it pisses me off that people still say “youve got gay marriage, what else could you want?” Maybe to not be f*****g killed just for existing. And dont get me started on thw Baptist church. The baptist church are celebrating the massacre and saying the shooter was “sent by god” which makes no sense whatsoever. You say that your god is all-loving and doesnt want harm to come to everyone, yet he sends someone to massacre a bunch of people just for being gay? I hate this so much and i just dont see why people dont seem to care about this, the worst shooting in american history

I totally agree. I’m tired of all the bloodbath. How many people are killed because they are LGBT? Too many. How many people are killed because they are straight? None. Then we have idiots like Trump who aren’t showing any empathy to the family members of the victims. Donald has just been offensive and wrong on most of what he said about the shooting.

Sorry but thats not true. Yes there are people out there who are spouting hateful garbage but its not everyone, many millions will see this act of hatred for what it was and and fight harder and stand with and for those who are LGBT to be treated and viewed just as equal as every one else. Sadly there are morons out there who believe otherwise.

Lets not pull each other apart but come together as one body, people and nation and stick together and fight for everyone to be seen as equal regardless of sex, race, colour, sexual orientation or whatever else those who think, act and believe differently amongst us want to focus upon.
The actions of the evil individual who carried out the atrocity early on Sunday night were to create hatred and division, its crucial that his intentions are not achieved.

I will also say that I find it incredible and incredibly sad that the latest mass shooting will have zero impact on those who still believe after everything that being able to buy a gun legally and easily is still the American way and must be defended at all costs.
How anyone can read and watch these events unfold and still think its right totally baffles me yet there appears to be no amount of senseless needless deaths that will change their opinions.

One of the most absurd things I have heard the past few days is that, even had this man been identified as a possible threat and put on the Terrorist Watch List, it would still not have prevented him buying the weapons he did. Last December (3rd) the Senate voted down a bill that would prevent those on the Terrorist Watch List from legally buying firearms, with an in-built appeals process in front of a judge should you think you’ve been put on the List unfairly. The 2nd Amendment is so important that the GOP voted for suspected terrorists to keep their 2nd Amendment Rights. That just spins my head!

For those of you who are not in the U.S. and do not have access to all of our local newscasts, I assure you that we care. City after city has shown support for the city of Orlando, the victims and their families/loved ones.
Also, please do not paint all Americans with such a broad brush. We are not a nation of gun-toting outlaws. Rather, we are a nation run by crooked politicians that have their pockets lined by the NRA and other such pro-gun organizations/lobbyists. That is where the real change needs to take place. It’s not an easy task, and will take considerable time to change it.

There is very little to be said for just how idiotic it has become. I fail to understand how anyone can watch so many shootings and still defend the 2nd Amendment.
And I am sorry to say it but I do not foresee a time when the gun laws will change; too much money and power is involved never mind those who do still hold to it as being their fundamental right.

Gun laws aren’t gonna stop someone from getting a gun. If someone is willing to go and commit mass shooting, they would be willing to use the black market.
When ever something like this happens, everyone goes out and looks for something to blame. Why not the killer?

No one is exonerating the killer and saying its the guns that are to blame. No one is saying that by banning the sale of guns all gun related shootings are going to be stopped. What is being said is that it would significantly reduce the number of deaths by making it harder to be able to arm yourself. Surely that is a hugely important step that has to be taken?
If you want an example look at Australia and what occurred after the Port Arthur massacre and the gun laws were changed.
