Is there any point?
What they need to do is everyone films their responses Now And Then when ever a shooting takes place they are screened with a voiceover adding the latest location. Would save everybody’s time from having to break off from whatever they are doing.

Offline As you might expect of me…….I really like Boris. I don’t think I need to defend him. It wouldn’t make any difference to his detractors on here anyway so why waste more energy than Ricky Martin’s girlfriend in the attempt.
And for me the shift away from politically correct thought that Trump represents is welcome……..The CIA will keep him in order. And if the US Government step out of line we’ve got the 2nd Amendment.
So no need to clutch at your pearls ‘M and N’. Have another cuppa!

Offline Well, why ever not? After all, history is full of examples of groups being picked out for unequal treatment under the law on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexuality or beliefs turning out hunky-dory for all.
I mean, there’s Hitler and the Jews… Oops! Wait . Not the best example.
There’s white South Africa and it’s treatment of it’s black population… Sorry! Another not so good one. I’ll get there though…
The Catholics and the Protestants…
The Protestants and the Catholics…
Europe and virtually every native population they encountered around the world…
Special mention going to their treatment of population of Africa sold into slavery…
The Israelis and the Palestinians…

There’s African Christian countries currently jailing and condemning to death homosexuals…
Mmm, it’s trickier than I thought to find good examples of where it’s been good…
Hmm, how do you spot a Muslim? I mean, the ones you’d really want to stop, they’ve been known to lie about things. How do you tell the difference between secular, Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu, Buddist, etc.?
Will I need to provide documentation to prove that I am not, have not been, and will never be a practising Muslim? What if my parents are Muslims?
On a more positive note, the Eagles of Death Metal (whose concert saw the most deaths) returned to a stage for the first time last night, when they guested with U2, and (respect due) it was a Paris stage…

Offline Leaders seem to be getting ever more unhinged because the reason for leadership is becoming disconnected from leadership itself, and is more to do with having the spotlight and the money and setting up for the post-political career payoff. At the same time we persist in demanding that our leaders also be heroes, which they’re utterly incapable of. There was a time in Australia when the mere suggestion of Tony Abbott becoming PM was a real joke, but it happened because no one on one side could be bothered trying harder for engaged politics and the other side didn’t want Malcolm Turnbull. Now that side don’t really want Malcolm Turnbull but are terrified they’ll lose without him but Tony Abbott won’t go away, and the other side has Bill Shorten aaargh. The only comfort I have is that US politics is even more insane than the Australian variety. But the common denominator is very real greed and indifference to their duty of care.
