George– cancer free.
Imagine the knock-ons that would have had, Dhani would probably still be an aerodynamicist and thenewno2 would still be just a design team *strokes beard*.
And that’s only mentioning Dhani, if George had never had cancer than he wouldn’t have had it in ’97…I wonder if Brainwashed would still have been made if George didn’t know he only had a couple of months left.

In the news today…………
A NEW BEATLES ALBUM……
Yes in another dimension they didn’t break-up and a transdimentional traveller has brought a copy over with him…….
Although it’s an interesting idea………I don’t think you’ll like their latest record………
http://consequenceofsound.net/…..s-album/
Jokes and comments please.
I’m sure this is not news to @meanmistermustard or @Ron Nasty – they probably have had the bootlegs (including home demos) for ages.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I don’t think that the person who is doing this is expecting to be taken seriously. It’s probably supposed to just be a big joke. I mean obviously the track linked in the article is a mash-up of Band On The Run , When We Was Fab, the John Lennon interview clip included on Anthology 1 , and some interviews with fans that I can’t identify.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.
Most likely to post things that make you go hmm... 2015, 2016, 2017.

What the hell is going on in the world?[SNIP].
Without being cynical about it; there is a thin veneer of civilization in the world with a seething mass of evil bubbling beneath – we sometimes get a distorted view in the “West” sitting comfortably in our armchairs listening to The Beatles. At any given time there are:
* Bombings galore in the Middle East
* Street kids vanishing in Rio
* Domestic violence in homes far and wide
* Wars of liberation, conquest, tribal animosities, religion – you name it – across Africa
* People being found dumped in the desert with their heads missing in Mexico
* People being tortured in multiple countries
* Well – you get the picture
I’m hoping we are getting better little by little, though sometimes I’m not too sure.

I know it’s all doom and gloom……You can add the fear of a time coming where antibiotics lose their effectiveness………..
I’m trying to console myself with the thought that the world has always been in turmoil and we are just better informed.
I consider that my generation is perhaps the luckiest Britain’s ever had………But I think we’ve made a lot of mistakes that following generations will have to pay for.
It used to be so simple and straight-forward ……I’m not sure if this analogy fits but it’s just come to mind.
I’m recalling Churchill’s words……again:
“In Parliament your opposition sits in front of you. But your enemy sits behind”

I don’t consider your thoughts cynical, trc. Unfortunately, they are spot on realistic.
Maybe more people outside The West should try sitting comfortably in an armchair, listening to The Beatles.
Imagine all the people…

Some people in the east sit comfortably in an armchair, listening to The Beatles and there are people who are committing acts of violence in the west.
More Beatles everywhere would be good. (though a world wide bigger focus on music would be great.)

A week after the atrocities in Paris, I thought it worthwhile to share the response of Antoine Leiris on Facebook a couple of days ago for those who have not seen them.
His wife, Hélène Muyal-Leiris, was a victim of the psychopaths at the Bataclan.
On Friday night you stole the life of an exceptional being, the love of my life, the mother of my son, but you won’t have my hatred.
I don’t know who you are and I don’t want to know – you are dead souls. If this God for which you kill indiscriminately made us in his own image, every bullet in the body of my wife will have been a wound in his heart.
So no, I don’t give you the gift of hating you. You are asking for it but responding to hatred with anger would be giving in to the same ignorance that made you what you are.
You want me to be afraid, to view my fellow countrymen with mistrust, to sacrifice my freedom for security. You have lost.
I saw her this morning. Finally, after many nights and days of waiting. She was just as beautiful as when she left on Friday night, just as beautiful as when I fell hopelessly in love over 12 years ago.
Of course I’m devastated with grief, I admit this small victory, but it will be short-lived. I know she will accompany us every day and that we will find ourselves in this paradise of free souls to which you’ll never have access.
We are two, my son and I, but we are stronger than all the armies of the world.
I don’t have any more time to devote to you, I have to join Melvil who is waking up from his nap. He is barely 17-months-old. He will eat his meals as usual, and then we are going to play as usual, and for his whole life this little boy will threaten you by being happy and free. Because no, you will not have his hatred either.
is a remarkable man who should be an example to us all on how to respond to these psychopaths.
I salute you, Sir.

Though without either, were I to lose someone close in such horrific circumstances, I would hope to have at least a degree of his moral courage. Though, of course, it is impossible to say without actually being in his situation.

He’s that I suppose, but not in every respect. That’s just my personal opinion though.
He must of course bring his son up to understand that love is an infinitely more powerful emotion than hate or anger. To do otherwise would be to stifle and disfigure his son’s growth. Most fathers love their son enough that they wouldn’t want to do that…….So in this respect I don’t think he’s remarkable.
Not hating her killers himself is where we depart………And where I would agree with you, (without agreeing with him)…. he is remarkable.
I would wake up earlier in the mornings so I could hate the b******s for longer.

I feel so sorry for Mali and it’s inhabitants.
Scarcely a day goes by without bombings, massacres or terrorist kidnappings.
In the midst of their poverty they are struggling with at least three, maybe more, active insurgencies – including but not limited to:
– Boko Haram
– Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb
– Tuaregs (in the north)

Russian fighter jet shot down near Turkish border. Both pilots ejected, now reported dead. Russia claiming it was shot down by rebels on the ground in Syria. Turkey claiming one of their planes shot it down after it encroached Turkish airspace and was warned ten times to leave Turkish airspace.
Turkey a member of NATO. This could get sticky.
