So everyone includes cops and the military?
Give people required training like with cars so if people are using it for self defence then they can USE IT FOR THAT. Cars are deadly weapons that can and have been used to kill with.

It can be argued that almost everything else man can get hold of could be used to kill someone, it depends on how he/she uses it. So i dont buy into the car argument.

Cops and military can go murder people just as Mich as anybody else.
H Also since everything can ‘ve used for murder might as well have guns since guns are a lot quicker and painless then a lot of other things used to murder with.

Yes they do. Plenty of reports of cops unlawfully shooting folk in the US.
The better approach would be to not have folk murder each other, sadly some people are not that way inclined. I blame Cain.

Offline They were alive. But a family split had occurred and so when asked if they were alive and the grandparents of Noah they denied it with a furious “WE HAVE NO GRANDSON!!!”. The man with the stone and chisel took them at their angry word and history was altered forever.
Sad times they were; sad times.
And the first known occasion of a family ripped apart by gambling debts.

Where did Cain’s wife come from?
There are all sorts of people and creatures outside Eden in the Bible version of it.
I view it like a movie which focuses on the main characters and all the rest are just background until one of the main characters interact with them.

This sin’t an original point, but the fact that Sandy Hook did nothing really should have been a sign that nothing would ever change. If 20 kids (and six adults) did nothing, why would this latest one? Or the next one?

Eventually all the news reporting on the Vietnam War (and the endless stream of body bags coming home) helped lead to an upsurge in favour of pulling out of that war – maybe massacre weariness will eventually do the same – one can only hope.

Guns don’t kill it’s people is a philosophical argument..The above is a fact…..A fact the NRA are not particularly bothered by.
In the 7 years after Australia acted following a mass killing……Gun homicides and gun suicides halved.
It’s not anyone else’s business. It’s up to American citizens to decide what they do about this problem.
I’m not for disarming Americans…….You couldn’t do it! …….More guns than people…(though that stat includes many people who own several guns)….
I can’t understand the opposition to much stiffer regulation regarding background and other checks before a citizen can legally own a gun and greater restrictions on types of weapons and ammunition available. The good guys would still be able hunt…..engage in sport……and, should the need arise, become a part of a well armed militia…..
There would still be bad guys with guns…But those gun would become increasingly much harder to come by and at greater risk.

And second point………….It’s none of my business.
As I started with a fact……
…….. I’ll finish with the claim recently that judged as at least 4 gun deaths, (including the shooter) there have averaged more than one mass shooting a day so far this year……….

All of our business as caring citizens of this planet. Yes, I know lots of worse thing happen in other parts of the world – but I agree that stricter regulation would help a lot and still allow them to maintain their morbid fascination with gunning things down.
