Had the pleasure of meeting Kim Jong Un at a charity do once. He was surprisingly down to earth, and VERY funny.

I heard he bought a boat and immediately donated it back again to be resold. He then bought the boat again.

The benefits of the #HoleyApple2020 campaign. Pleased to say Trudeau was a nice fella, still bummed i drew the short straw and didn’t get to see our mate Kim.

He’s misunderstood, the press can be so cruel.

Trudeau and his ‘smell my finger’ gig is pretty weird though. At least Kim gave me a lifetime supply worth of Swiss cheese.

Trump has apparently been advised not to attend the US daily briefs as he is causing more harm than good to his campaign.
He’s been advised to? He’ll still attend. If he’s told it’s illegal for him to attend? He might start to consider not attending. He’ll do what he wants to do, not what he’s told to do.
In other news, there are conflicting reports about Kim Jong-Un. Some say he is in a vegetative state after a botched heart surgery, and some sources say he has died after said surgery. We’ll probably get confirmation from the state in a few days I reckon.
He’s back. Lasted, what, three days? Shaking his head at the media and looking really smug whilst Pence tells the reporter off for misunderstanding. All is brilliant and if not then it’s only because you got it wrong or fail to understand the facts. I don’t even get Pence’s logic whilst he tries to explain how great they have been on tests.

The news tonight reminded me that it was exactly 250 years ago today on 29 April 1770 when Captain Cook landed in an area belonging to both the Tharawal and Eora peoples, and claimed what we now know as Australia by putting a flag in Botany Bay and called it Terra Nullius, thus starting the invasion of Australia by Europeans.
Keeping every First Nations person, past and present, in my thoughts tonight

I almost forgot, yesterday was the 75th anniversary of Mussolini getting owned with facts and logic. Good riddance

For all past and present teenage girls of the past 20 or so years.
It is our time.
It is happening.
The long-anticipated Edward Cullen’s POV book of the events that happened in Twilight, ‘Midnight Sun’ is coming the 4th of August.
The anticipation is high, the laughing at the writing will be real. Join us!
What an ugly cover.

She got over her tantrum I guess. Would be funny if she re-wrote the entire series like this.
What’s next though? Twilight: Jessica’s P.O.V, Twilight: Everyone who was human is now a Vampire and every vampire is now human. Twilight: everyone swaps genders oh wait, that one already exists.

It’s quite amusing how embarrassingly bad that whole era of young adult fiction was looking back My sister was watching Divergent recently and it was nowhere near as good as I remember it being.

How dare you, Twilight is an incredible piece of literature! I’m rereading it for the first time since I read it which would be about *oh God * 12 years ago?
I’m only 60 or so pages in but Bella’s blushing every 3 pages, makes me worry for her capillaries and her constant falling makes her a serious liability and I don’t think any insurance company would insure her.

Today we saw Boris Johnson’s first PMQs opposite from new Labour leader Keir Starmer.
My take – I’ve so far been extremely underwhelmed by Starmer’s rather milquetoast public profile with his conditional support of the government, which, while morally probably the right path to take, has largely resulted in him barely making an impression with the public. While 75% of those expressing a view in a BMG survey last month approved of his performance, 59% people said they had so far not formed an opinion, and the Tories still have their 17 point lead. Hopefully him finally taking the gloves off and taking the government to task on their dangerous incompetence will finally start paying off politically, and force the government to improve their performance. As illustrated in this clip, in which Boris looks visibly flustered, I think Starmer’s background as a lawyer will pay off nicely.

I had to look up “milquetoast” and now I’m glad because I now have a new word added to my vocabulary

Have I apologized to the non American members for Donald Trump?
No need. If we all wanted Americans to apologise for him, then you’d equally have to start apologising for a great list of things just as bad as he is. Same goes for us in the UK – we could apologise for Boris or Brexit, but there’s a gazillion things we’ve done that are far worse.

You know every time I see ‘milquetoast’, I’m distraught that it’s not pronounced ‘milky toast’.
