The primary went ahead despite the virus, and to be honest it’s just been farcical.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

It’s a big middle fingers to the older people who are staying indoors for their safety. They have a right to vote and holding it at a time when they shouldn’t be going outdoors is horrible and undemocratic.

^Might as well not have had the unnecessary voting. Bye bye Bernie, Bernie goodbye.
Biden v. Trump, in whenever the hell it happens.

It wasn’t unnecessary voting, the primary includes decisions for local government as well (like the propositions referenced by all the random posters that say NO TO PROP C or YES TO PROP H without saying what they are or why you should say no or yes). So for a lot of people it was actually very important to vote. But instead of postponing the election or doing it online or through the mail they decided to make Wisconsin the next New York.
Anyway, Biden v. Trump, we’ll see what happens.

Eurgh. I personally would’ve liked for Bernie to fight until a Biden victory was inevitable, but maybe it’s better this way. Oh well, nobody ever said taking on the entire US political establishment and all the corporate power behind it was going to be easy. Time to toughen up and soldier on.

Hopefully all this coronavirus stuff will motivate both sides to improve their healthcare plans a bit. Or at least Biden. That’s not too much to ask for, right?

I was gonna order a Bernie t-shirt but I guess now I have to order a “reluctant Biden supporter only because Sanders suspended his campaign” t-shirt

That’s big relatable imao
My friend likes to keep reminding me that I can’t vote. I’ll be complaining about Biden and Trump or some local s**t and he’d say “Then why don’t you do something about it……oh wait :^)” …the cheeky b*****d……..

Ah yes, I did mean to type lmao, except my finger slipped to the “i”– a common formula for a typo, lol.
But honestly, I might actually start using “imao” for when I share my opinion in a debate– in context and knowing myself it wouldn’t be wrong

I might have to start using it too, especially when people take me too seriosuly and yet somehow misinterpret everything I say in the most malicious way possible
…but I’m not going to need it any time soon, god willing.

While Bernie’s far from perfect, he’s the best chance we had so it’s a real shame that he’s gone.
As much as i hate Trump, i might end up voting for him because i can’t bare the idea of someone with cognitive decline running our country.

Voting is still important since there are things on the ballot other than the primaries.

Sadly, you’re going to end up with that one either way. Trump quite obviously is also in a state of cognitive decline too. Maybe less so than Biden, who can barely form a coherent sentence at this point, but watching a speech by either of them is just depressing. Guys their age should be comfortably retired, not subject to extreme scrutiny on the world stage. The same goes for Bernie, as he’s also pretty elderly, except for him the issue is more to do with his heart problems than his cognitive state.
For me, although I can understand the position of the “Bernie or Bust” people, the answer is clear, even just on the issue of abortion. If Trump manages to replace RBG with another pro-life justice, then Roe V Wade will almost certainly be overturned, and who knows what other damage could be done constitutionally. As a libertarian, I would hope your instincts to stop state control of reproductive rights would prevent you from voting for Trump.

^I don’t think being pro-abortion is necessarily a libertarian position, necessarily… but that’s a conversation for a different thread

It was today I read the regretful news: On the day April 4, 2020, the legendary musician John Prine has passed away due to complications with the coronavirus. The virus has already claimed on of our world’s surviving folk legends.
