What real problems do you feel Trump isn’t concerning himself with?
The Flint water crisis
Sexism
Regardless of what you think about feminism, women have the same legal rights and protections as men in the US and then some with the sole exception of the right to be topless in public in some states. This means that all misogyny and most misandry in the US comes from social stigmas and there’s not much you can do to fix that.

Apperently Taylor Swift doesn’t have the rights to any of her previous albums any more, so she has plans to ¿re-record? them. An interesting way to solve that problem. It will also be interesting to hear the re-recordings, as I’m sure they will be different no matter how close to the original she tries to get them.https://www.npr.org/2019/08/22…..er-catalog
Reminds me of Paul and the Beatles albums, except he didn’t try to re-record them.
Interesting, reminds me of the time Ozzy had Robert Trujilo and Mike Bordin re-record the bass and drums on his first 2 solo albums.

I’m sorry, are you suggesting people should just accept any sexism they encounter?

Trump could also help fight sexism by not being sexist himself. Just sayin’.
Jesus Fiddy, it’s just locker room talk! Every red-blooded male says the same thing, can’t you realise that with your small, female cranium?!?

Not at all but i think it’s up to the people, not the president.

Climate change, the Flint water crisis, racism, homophobia, sexism, islamophobia, economic inequality, the humanitarian crisis by the border…
Despite the enormous distractions of the Democratic media and the political resistance of an obdurate and stubborn Democratic Party… the Dem’ controlled State’s Sanctuary cities for illegals and of course……Obama’s/Trump’s own Justice dept…..FBI and CIA…..et all..Trump’s managed to produce a particularly productive Presidency, one that would stand up well against any president of the last 50 years.
Here’s a list provided by the WH….Before you scoff consider the almost complete bias of the media unwilling to attribute any credit only blame to this President.
https://www.whitehouse.gov/bri…..in-office/
I hope you will be diligent enough to open and read it and having done so impartial enough to agree it’s a very impressive list…….
As for Flint I agree with you here and it’s not just Flint it’s all over the US and needs urgent attention. As do the numbers of homeless defecating on the streets of Democratic run cities…….(Maybe that’s an appropriate Diogenes-like protest).
The Humanitarian problem at the border is brought about by an almost unmanageable flood of people, enticed by the weak immigration rules/implementation and the enticements of the liberal/left and their promises of open borders and catch and release..This began long before Trump….His efforts to build a wall and cut off the enticements have been met with the cynical resistance of a Dem party desperate for new voters because the African American vote is ‘woke’ and coming to the conclusion that after 50 years of knee-jerk voting habits what have the Dems actually done for them?……They feel as threatened by illegals on school places and jobs as much as any right thinking citizen should be……. Trump is a better Black bet..The Dem’s are desperate. The generous deal on DACA Trump offered dismissed out-of-hand.Despite all the clutching at pearls, hand-wrining and mob virtue signalling they don’t care about people’s suffering the trafficking, the rape, the drugs, the profits of the gangs……Only destroy Trump….Not allow him a cross-party win…and seize back power for themselves even if their divisive policies damage the US.
I’m not convinced the ‘ism’s and ‘obias’ you trot off have increased under Trump…They were certainly not brought about by Trump……More so by the stoking of fears for political capital by a shameful but completely unscathed by this Democratic party that remains unscathed because of its media arm’s active support……even encouragement… (See NYT’s planned emphasis for the next two years)…..

Why is that when a media organisation writes/reports something people don’t agree on, they’re labelled as ‘fake news’, biased towards the opposition party etc, yet when another media organisation publishes something that is agreed with, their word is accepted as gospel?

I think you’re right……Hopefully the truth comes out in the end…..Even then though some will ignore it…or equivocate and spin it. Usually when proved that they are completely wrong they just change the subject and move on…like The NYTs!
It takes a lot for someone to change their minds…….It begins with a quiet admission to themselves.
Basically. ‘if you can’t change your mind…..You’re not using it.’

What problem does it solve?
The albums she has lost control of won’t be deleted because she’s recording newer versions of them. It just gives her two income streams from the same songs: the songwriter and performer royalties from the original albums, and presumably around 100% of the income from the re-recordings.
Doesn’t solve anything. Just means there’ll be two versions of her first few albums out there, original and re-record, both will sell, and she’ll get a better paycheck from one than the other.

I wonder why she’s going to all that trouble then ?……….Oh yeah it must be because as you say she gains financially and also gains greater control over the re-recorded songs concerned…….
Apart from that…..Nothing!!

Because the Republicans and the Democrats are both incredibly greedy and have a strong bias against each other (although they agree on a lot of things) and they will do whatever it takes to make the other party look bad and the other party will respond by saying that’s fake news to discredit them.

Maybe she can go halfway and record a pseudo-greatest hits album containing re-recorded versions of her most classic songs.

I was just thinking about Tony Japanese’s comments about one-eyed bias……
I was thinking about it because I was watching Chelsea Vs Norwich ……..When you’re so committed to a cause or a party or a team……The same incident can be viewed by opposing sides as the Ref’ being 100% blind or a top man.
I guess it’s a simple as human nature…The human parallax.

The article made it sound like she was no longer getting anything from the old albums. Also I think her goal is to get the new recordings as close to the old ones as possible. Granted there will be two versions of the albums out there, but she wants people to only the new recordings.
Regardless who you are, it’s only fair that you get rights over your works. If it’s good, if it’s good, or people like it, it sells and you make money. Thus is the entertainment world.

I think we all suffer from bias to some extent. Football supporters are, by nature, more extreme than not. My team concede a goal – clear offiside. My team go one nil up after our captain throws the ball into the net – definitely a goal.

Both PragerU and various members of the LGBT community are suing YouTube.
What makes this really stupid is that these are 2 groups with opposing viewpoints (PragerU is right wing and the LGBT community is left wing) suing the same company in 2 separate cases because they think they’re being discriminated because of their views, proving that YouTube doesn’t have a political bias.

What Taylor Swift is doing is nothing new, the practice stretches back years due to artists moving to different record labels.; ffor example, Johnny Cash did it with a good number of his early tracks on the 1964 album ‘I Walk The Line‘.
Taylor is not happy at owning her masters, which is fair enough, but going by reports she was offered the opportunity to buy them herself and did nothing, so tough. Same as feeling no sympathy for Paul (and Yoko) for failing to buy Northern Songs (or whatever name it was going by when Michael Jackson bought them); if you’re too slow and/or tight to not pay the money then others will.

PragerU might just be the worst channel in the history of the website. I’d rather the LGBTQ+ groups lose their case than PragerU win, to be honest.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.
