You said in the other thread that you’re a soprano, so that’s a little tough, finding something that’s not too low. Are you a belter? I like the version of “Come Together ” in “Across The Universe ,” and I was personally thinking of giving that one a try in a karaoke bar someday. ;->

That’s so freaking awesome! How about “I’m Looking Through You “? Do you have a preference, John, Paul, or George? I’d assume Ringo is too low for you.

“Polythene Pam ” — wear boots and a mod miniskirt, dance like Goldie Hawn, and accompany yourself on a tamborine.

I am sort of quiet, but I can project if I need to. I wouldn’t call myself a “belter.” I’m Looking Through You might work. I don’t have a preference, but Paul’s songs might be better for me because they’re typically higher. Polythene Pam – um, no, not exactly the song I was looking for… and I don’t know who Goldie Hawn is. I was considering Hello Goodbye , but I’d still like some more suggestions.

My suggestions would be If I Fell or Every Little Thing . Goldie Hawn is the mother of Kate Hudson, and probably best known for the films Private Benjamin and Death Becomes Her.

The beginning of If I Fell is too low for me, and it would just sound weird an octave higher. Thanks for the suggestions (and Goldie Hawn info), though.

I have heard If I Fell an octave higher, and it does work. I know what you mean about taking it up an octave, but I would still suggest you check out a few YouTube versions that show it an octave higher. I’ll see if I can find any to point you to. I know they’re there because I’ve seen a few.

Much as I hate the film, here’s an official version of playing with the range.
