I doubt its my purpose in life to be eaten by a bear however that is the laws of nature – [many] bears eat meat, i am meat and therefore more than likely a nice tasty meal to a bear. Its why i never wise to meet one in the wild.
The blade of grass has decided that life is not worth living and wants to be eaten so its misery is ended. On that basis the rabbit would be doing the bade of grass a favour and so the blade of grass is happy knowing its pain is over.

Just cause your gonna end up being eaten doesn’t mean your gonna be happy about it. If I was eaten by a bear I wouldn’t be happy about it.
The blade of grass could be a happy blade of grass just soaking up the sun with its grass friends when the rabbit comes and eats it to death.

If you surrendered to the fact and accepted it was your purpose in life you might be – say you wanted to be eaten as a bear as your chosen way to die. People choose all kinds of way to die why not eaten by bear? Sounds very anti-bear to me. And is surely better than slowly having your skin peeled off by a hot knife whilst your toenails are extracted by a pair of pliers before being inserted directly into your throat.
The blade of grass could be a happy blade of grass just soaking up the sun with its grass friends when the rabbit comes and eats it to death.
Unless the sun is too hot and the blade of grass is starting to scorch in the sun. The rabbit could end its slow torment of being burnt to death. Maybe there is a bushfire on the way.
There are certainly many angles for this song to take.

I’ve tried… and failed miserably.I guess I should just stick to writing stories.
You could write the blade of grass song and make it sad so that I will win!

Well, I’m making a few adjustments before uploading the demo in soundcloud. It’s just the melody though, as I haven’t come up with a satisfactory accompaniment and I want to check if the melody is good enough. I’ll post it in a few hours because I need to go to the dentist first
EDIT: Not going to the dentist after all, I’ll upload it in a few minutes.
Let me take you down 'cause I'm going to...Strawberry Fields.

@MrMoonlight, congratulations on getting your first single!
I really liked the piano at the end.

As I’ve indicated before (long ago, as my former incarnation “Funny Paper”), I’ve written many songs over the years, but for complicated reasons it would be too tedious to explain, I haven’t got my shizzle together to be able to put up decent audio (let alone video) recordings of them.
I do endlessly amuse & entertain myself, however, with them; it’s just a shame that the many times over the years when I’m sounding relatively good with guitar & voice off the cuff and spontaneously have not been captured on tape. Of course, I do believe in the old mantra, “Never say never”…
Anyway, over the month of April I finally fleshed out and finished a new song which started out as merely the bare bones of a traditional children’s ditty called “Jim-along Josie” —
“Hey Jim-along, Jim-along Josie,
Hey Jim-along, Jim-along Joe.”
— to which I added a couple of other parts and many chord changes beyond the simple folk G to D of the original.
A ginger sling with a pineapple heart,
a coffee dessert, yes you know it's good news...

I have, in fact, written quite a few songs. I’m in a band, we’ve got two gigs within the next three weeks (including one at the neighborhood festival, which is really cool for us!). I wish I could play bass, but since my brother can play bass and no one else could play guitar, I’m stuck there. I’ll find a way to get back to the bass soon enough.
(PS: If anyone lives in Pittsburgh and would be interested in seeing us play, please PM me for some info)

I might regret this ….but here are a few songs what I wrote. I’d be the first to admit I’m not a real singer but hopefully you can hear a Beatles influence in the songs. The first song is quite long (5.12mins) so you are forgiven if you don’t make it to the end
Even In The Sun (Creeping Shadows Fall)
The next one I think is Macca influenced….

I’ve only listened to the first one, but it’s brilliant! Sounds a lot like 1970-72 Pink Floyd to me (of course I’d bring them up!), the harmonies included.
