I'm sure the House of Slytherin would have been reformed by then.
Speaking of witch which, Slughorn came back to help at the end of seven, right? I always have to read that part twice. I'll look up the page number… ok it's 734, Charlie Weasley overtakes Slughorn. If I recall correctly, McGonagall calls him out earlier, saying that Slytherin has to choose a side. Is it ever made clear which side he takes?
I actually want to know more about James and what Lily saw in him. I think it's fair to say that both Sirius and Snape were biased.
Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!

But wasn't Teddy snogging Fleur and Bill's daughter (Victoire or something) at the end of the seventh one? It was nineteen years later, and he would have been about 19…so how could he be in Slytherin and all evil?
Oh yeah, that's right…who was just starting at Hogwarts? Was it one of Harry's kids? I'm sure that HE will turn out evil…

I was speaking with my friend (and fellow Potter nut) about the end of the seventh book, and we agreed that Neville should have ended up with Luna Lovegood. They would have been a perfect little oddball couple
I agree!! I wanted so bad that Neville had a major role in the books and he didn't.
And the one who starts at Hogwarts is Albus Severus Potter. And since he's a Severus he can't turn out evil.

I haven't seen the first part because most of the movie theaters were showing it in Spanish only. I might go and see it only if they show it in English.
And with Spanish I mean Dubbed to Spanish. I like to watch movies in English with crappy Spanish subtitles I don't read anyway.

I SAW IT LAST NIGHT (well, this morning) AT THE MIDNIGHT SCREENING! We get it two days before you guys do. Wewt, Australia! 15 hours later, I'm still buzzing. Okay, this is going to have spoilers if you don't already know what's going to happen, so yeah.
It's amazing. They did change some stuff from the books, though, and the final battle between Harry and Voldemort wasn't nearly as epic as it should have been. It was just the two of them in the courtyard, instead of being surrounded by everyone. Harry's speech to Voldemort about Snape's loyalty and about love and about everything else would have been amazing if they'd kept it in, but they didn't. They just sort of duelled weakly, which is a shame, because that bit was awesome in the books.
Oh, and all the stuff about Ariana was taken out as well. Deathly Hallows is meant to make Dumbledore a lot more human, but instead they just sort of kept him as the same all-knowing figure that he was before.
The Carrows weren't in it, either, which means Harry's entrance completely changed. He just steps out of a group of kids and points his wand at Snape, and then McGonagall defends Harry by duelling with Snape until he escapes.
They took out a lot of the tiny details that make Deathly Hallows the most revealing book.
Despite all that, it really was amazing. The Prince's Tale was REALLY well done, and I teared up at Snape's line “Always.” My friends were pretty much bawling throughout the whole thing, though.
If they'd kept a lot closer to the books, it would been so amazing that I can't even fathom it, but it was still incredibly amazing.
I already want to go see it again and again. It was awesome.
Oh, but I really wish Molly's famous line was better. It's meant to be like “NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!”, but she just sort of went “Not my daughter, you bitch.” I HATED Bellatrix's death, though. She exploded into a bunch of pieces, which is bullcrap, cos her death is meant to mirror Sirius's. She's duelling, then gets hit by a red jet of light, the laughter freezes on her face, then she arcs backwards; bam, dead. She's not meant to explode…
I'm still not a fan of the whole 19 years later thing. I know she's sort of leaving it open for more books in the future, but I really think it should have ended without it.
Of course, these are all just nitpicky things. It's still amazingly amazing.
I dressed up as Hagrid for the premiere, and I had a toy baby with a scar on its head in some blankets as Baby Harry.
Oh, yeah, did I mention that it was REALLY good? Cos it was. See it, now.

I actually only saw Part 1 last weekend (or the one before that), and Part 1 was okay. The thing about Part 1 was that they cut some things. Which I accepted. That is, until that damn dance scene. I haven’t read the book in a while, but after Ron leaves, Harry and Hermoine don’t have a dance to some sappy song, right? Actually, I might get a group for Friday (if my parents agree).

I prefer the books, of course, but I still loved the movie. If you love Snape, you'll love it. I very nearly cried during the Prince's Tale, and I NEVER cry during movies (except for when Mufasa dies).
I think the books were at their most brilliant at the end. Snape and Dumbledore's characters became a lot more human, as well as Neville and McGonagall. Plus Harry wasn't as angsty as he was in Order of the Phoenix, which helps.

1. Bahahahaha
2. I agree. I mean, the themes were introduced during the early books, but they were carried out in the later ones. I was kind of POd when you said they got rid of Ariana. She really did make Dumbledore's character more believable.
3. Fun Game to Play When Reading Order of the Phoenix: Count the number of times it says “Harry start(s)(ed) shouting.”
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.
