I bought a wonderful American-Style Brownie (as if Americans have a specific brownie type unique to them…) ice cream and it is truly delightful. Also it’s dark chocolate so I can never eat that much of it, which is a win-win for my waistline and also for my money as it’ll take me a few days to finish the pint.

I always enjoy how we celebrate Easter, almost impossible to turn a page of the Bible where they’re not talking of Giant Bunnies hiding chocolate eggs…

Huh, I can’t imagine who was responsible for the cloud shapes @WeepingAtlasCedars… …
Did a little egg hunt in the back garden for Little Girl (she digs Easter; I never really got into it at that age). I hope can trust you not to reveal my secret:
I Was The Easter Bunny (goo goo goo joob)
I had fun stomping about in the long dewy grass (which we’d left uncut a-purpose), sneaking eggs into nooky green places.

What? You can’t?
….Oh, no, wait! It wasn’t Hole-y!* Why must you assume that it is because of Hole-y!?
I’m not kidding, it was not Hole-y.

So… a few miles away from home is a UK themed restaurant/pub named Britannia Arms. It’s appropriately decked out including two working red kiosks out front. They are locally well known for serving 6 foot tall beer “towers”. I put the menu in the spoiler in case any British fabs want to see what people in the US think you like to eat. (Hope it’s not too embarrassing).
Anyway, since forever the owners have hosted a fundraiser on the Saturday before Easter. They order candy from the UK and auction it off with the money going to the local food bank. It’s been cancelled the last few years but returns to action tomorrow. This is the type of goodies they offer. Any look familiar?

Quite a good representation of traditional British meals.
There can be really wide variations around the country, but I think it’s a reasonable guide.

Ahhh Mom sent me to buy some Asbach candies for Ahhh Mother -in-law for Easter. I decided to dress them up in some Easter finery. I sent Ahhh Mom a picture. She’s as pleased as punch. I think my MIL will get a kick out of it. Can’t wait until tomorrow morning!

The event raised $3200 which was generously matched by an anonymous donor (who also bought everyone a round of drinks, the price of which the pub kicked back 50% to the charity). I tried an Old Speckled Hen Ale.

The pub menu is badly lacking the Scottish classics of macaroni and chips and haggis, neeps and tatties.
No idea what the $5 candy things are.
