And still on point……..
When I was married my wife was always nagging me about mowing the front garden…….
But somehow I was always busy…..Doing stuff in my shed…..messing with my car……listening to Rubber Soul
One day I came home and she was sat next to the lawnmower in the middle of the tall grass with a tiny pair of nail clippers…….Snipping at the grass.
I rushed in the house and came out with a toothbrush
‘What’s that for?’ she asked.
‘Well when you’ve done the lawn you can sweep the drive’
The Drs said I would walk again…but I’ve still got a limp…….

Reading the wiki entry for the ‘1’ compilation. What that album did is just insane, especially since it’s a compilation of material released at least 30 years previously.

Following on…. I suspect from my lawnmower incident above……….
Years later I had to attend a hospital here in Bangkok….(appropriate name) for a procedure involving my testes.
Of course it had to be the prettiest nurse I’d ever seen.
Cradling them in her hands….She smiled sweetly and said, ‘Don’t worry it’s perfectly normal to have an erection during this procedure’
I looked down and said: “I haven’t got an erection.’
‘No’…. she says, ‘but I have’.

Has anyone ever told you, @Wigwam, that you have quite a knack for telling a tale?

Ha, that’s me talking to my sister at dinnertime when I’ve cooked fish. (She hates fish.)
I once went to a restaurant that had a menu item where the cook would prepare anything they felt like cooking and serve it to you… it was called the ‘Shut Up And Eat It’.

This is what a hero looks like, and a great human being:
He’s a plumber, from Burnley in England, and his name is James Anderson.
He got called out on a job a while back, found an elderly man who’d been massively overcharged for a boiler repair that was badly done.
He properly repaired the boiler, and refused payment.
Soon afterwards, realising how widespread the ripping off of the elderly and disabled was, he turned his business into a non-profit, and started to concentrate on elderly and disabled customers.
He was just doing this because he thought it was right, not looking for anything, and the daughter of a customer, so impressed with him, posted online the invoice her mother got for a boiler repair:
It was later discovered that he’d gone into £8000 of debt because he was charging many of his customers nothing or little for his work when he deemed it necessary work they couldn’t afford.
Turns out that since he went non-profit, he’s helped over 2000 customers in that way.
In the wake of his story becoming public, a crowdfunding site on his behalf, already getting nearly £30,000 to support what he’s doing.
What a remarkable human being.

This is exactly the sort of person the world needs.
I’m really happy that his story went public – I can very easily foresee him using that 30 grand to continue helping the elderly, and he probably won’t spend a cent on himself (other than, I hope, to clear his debt).
These stories make me so warm and fuzzy, thanks for sharing RN!

A dog in the old west steps a paw on a silver dollar…….Somehow he picks it up and heads like any self-respecting Dodge City dog would do…..straight for the saloon.
‘Give me a shot of red-eye’ he barks.
“We don’t serve stinking dogs in this bar..even talking ones’
Clutching the dollar the dog bangs it on the bar…”I got a dollar….give me a shot of red-eye’
Pulling a six shooter from under the bar…..the barman shoots the dollar from the dog’s grip…… Screaming in pain and yelping most piteously the dog, tail between his legs leaves the bar.
Two years later the dog returns…….walking upright now…..Two pearl-handled colts strapped to his hips…. and a black stetson pulled down……… Death was in his eyes…..
The dog looks slowly round the room…..
The piano stops a’tinkling……the poker players look up from their cards……….The whores cover their mouths…….
Silence……
Then the dog speaks…..Low and kinda slow……..
‘
I’m’a looking for the man who shot my paw!’

School’s been really busy lately, so I took a hike with my friends today. It was really nice to get out and be in nature after a lot of really stressful days. Oh yeah, and on the way back down, we were singing (screaming) I Want To Hold Your Hand at the top of our lungs.
Perfection.
