Heh, I love trees too. I used to spend a lot of time in them. You’re kind of on a different plane from the rest of the world and you can just relax for a bit.

I’ve written before about my adoration of Bridget Jones (it’s tied with BTTF for me). I love her, I love the films, I love the books (except for Mad About The Boy because Mark Darcy is not dead and I refuse to believe he’s dead, I threw out the book after I read it because THAT didn’t happen), I love Daniel Cleaver even though he is an a*****e, and I want to go on a full-blown mini-break holiday weekend with Mr Darcy.
In saying that:
Guess which films are on French telly this evening? 😉
Only the first and the Edge of Reason though and EoR is being shown first with BJD afterwards- which makes no sense and I’m sorry for the people who are seeing it for the first time as they’ll be very confused.

I get a huge sense of peace from forests/trees. Don’t think I could live without them. Mountains — green forested ones — give me a very similar sense of comfort, albeit even more so.
If so, you’d love it up here. We can see the mountains in the distance from certain parts of town, and even from that far they’re beautiful. Of course, it’s better to actually be there, but still.
Happiness is also returning to the forum after weeks of being away at work.

Happiness is finding a song you love that you haven’t heard in years, and replaying it over and over again.

The faux Paul from the tribute band that crossed Abbey Road yesterday, during a live Sky News report done as they were still on the crossing, dragged his watching girlfriend onto the crossing and asked her to marry him!!!
She said yes.

Happiness is the open road
We’re going to the mountains in a couple days and they’re making letting me drive.
I like driving a lot now that I’m no longer terrified of being within 15 feet of other vehicles.

I’m a little older than you are, Fiddy. Give yourself time.
I’m also mildly overconfident and fond of adrenaline

@50yearslate Took me a little while when I was new as well. Now I don’t mind getting closeish, but I’m not some daredevil that’s gonna come within a millimeter or two of rear ending someone.

Oh, that’s not what I was talking about at all, I usually keep a very healthy distance. I’m just not freaking out every time I pass someone on the road anymore, which is good, and now I can enjoy the moving-quickly-down-the-road part.

I wasn’t referencing you at all. I’m confident you’re not that stupid crazy. You strike me as an intelligent sane person.
