Not so much short but rather I have quite a round face so I look younger. May or may not have pretended I was 17 to get into Amsterdam museums for free yesterday >.>
€20 is a lot to pay for a museum, ok?!?!

Guilty as charged, the only place I haven’t got away with is Berlin because typical Germans asking for ID.
My student card doesn’t have my DOB so I just hand them that and pay a student rate.
Note: If the museum fee is like €4 then I’ll pay it, I’m not that much of a cheapskate. Twenty euro for a museum is a decent meal, wayyyy too much for a museum.
Unhappiness is not a nice thread: Being in Amsterdam and not staying in the Hilton. One day I’ll get to spend loads of money to stay in a stupid hotel room for a week.

Is there anyone here who isn’t a Ravenclaw?
I just took a test and apparently I’m a Hufflepuff, whatever that means
You are reserved, rational, and down-to-earth. You work well with others, are a great team player, and you always take a stand against injustice.

Hufflepuffs are as a whole nice people (except Ernie Macmillan, f**k you Ernie). They’re probably the best house to be in: kind and loyal better than arrogant Ravenclaw, boastful Gryffindor or sneaky Slytherin.
Also the house common room is next to the kitchens, perfect for midnight raids.

Fellow Hufflepuff here; definitely the best Hogwarts house. I remember having some pretty hilarious discussions with @50yearslate as to whether the position of the common room and the chilled demeanour of the members confirms the Hufflepuffs-are-stoners theory

If that’s true it makes one wonder what ego Luna Lovegood is secretly hiding under that naive demeanour…

Oh yeah as a Ravenclaw, I think most Ravenclaws are a******s- myself included.
I think a lot of people forget that Luna, one of the ‘kookiest’ characters who was introduced in unconventional things was bullied by her fellow Ravenclaws, purely because she was interested in non-mainstream topics, myths and legends and that presented her as ‘odd’ in their eyes.
I don’t care much for Luna as a character but her fellow housemates were horrible to her.
Also, hufflepuff definitely stoners. Tickle the pear, guys, tickle the pear.

I remember having a discussion with a friend of mine which house each Beatle would be in. We thought the following:
George: Ravenclaw
Ringo: Hufflepuff
John: Ravenclaw
Paul: Slytherin (I know everyone thinks Slytherins are evil, but I chose this for Paul because he’s ambitious and charming).

I think also a lot of the depths of the houses is lost in the original series. Not all Ravenclaws are there for book smarts. Some could fit into Ravenclaw for their creativity or for street smarts, for example. There’s a lot of different ways to be each house which is why there can be so much overlap and ill-defined boundaries.
My house usually flits between Slytherin and Ravenclaw, but last time I took the test I got Gryffindor so

Happiness is a nice thread apparently…
I agree. To open this thread and find out I’m in the same Harry potter house as Ringo causes me much happiness!

^See this is why the Potter thread should have never been locked. With a site that has teens as a large part of the membership, there needs to be a Potter corner.
Anyhoo, out of all the houses Paul is definitely a Slytherin. He’s shrewd, cunning, ambitious and resilient- a perfect Slytherin.

I’m going to Belfast with my brother and a friend during the summer. I was talking to my mam on the phone and told her we were going for the twelfth of July (which as a person from the Republic, you do NOT want to be in Northern Ireland on the 12th).
My mam practically yelled down the phone “YOU’RE NOT GOING TO BELFAST FOR THE 12TH OF JULY!!”.
Heh heh heh
For those of you who don’t know about the Twelfth, here’s a lil video.
We’re thinking of doing a walking tour of the murals and part of it is going through the Unionist side of Belfast, think I’ll just not say a word for the entirety of that part, me being the filthy Taig that I am.
I <3 the Shankill Road.

Ah lads, the restaurant I’m at was very late delaying my main course so they’re giving me free cake- wooooo.
I can’t wait for my flight tomorrow being cancelled due to bad weather (anything else I’d be ok with because I’d get €250, free food and a hotel room, God bless you EU) because as we all know, I cannot be this lucky.
