I love their first album, particularly the first few songs. If you’re interested in a good book on The Doors and Jim Morrison I recommend No One Here Gets Out Alive. Some of Morrison’s lyrics were terrible, though. Teenage poetry at its worst.
Couldn’t agree more… I went through a big Doors phase late high school / early college. I’m still a fan to an extent but one day I just thought to myself… These lyrics sound like a 15 year old kid trying WAY to hard.
A square is not a square when the sides are less than four...
