I never got the Muppets…….Wise cracking Sooty and Sweeps didn’t do it for me.
Perhaps I’ll give it a try…….If it’s anything like Family Guy humour I’ll love it.
As for me……….I’m Watching ‘The Last Kingdom’ and realising how little I know about King Alfred……..Or my own 7th century country. Sent me to the history books.
I’m waiting for the last series of Banshee.

Are you referring to the UK series or the knock-off we have here in The States? In any event, I do enjoy improvisational comedy. I’d be more interested in seeing what was left on the cutting room floor.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I only have the US episodes, I’ve seen a couple of the UK ones. It’s not really a “knock-off” given it was produced by the same people and had many of the same performers, people often assume it must have been an-all new production. Even Laura Hall started on the UK production before being the in-house musician for the US series! Many of the games are different, but some of the core originals remain also. Sometimes the best performances are from audience members or celebrities. Whoopi Goldberg went on a couple of eps and was outstanding every time.

Watching episode one of ‘The Hunted’, a BBC nature programme. A leopard was on the hunt for its tea and had an impala in its sights. I didnt know if to cheer on the incredibly cute leopard or the incredibly cute impala.
The impala survived despite being tackled and dragged away.
Such cute animals dont deserve to die or go hungry.
Stuff your horror and thriller films, this is scary stuff.
Edit: A buffalo just got caught and eaten.

That can be a problem since plants are also cute. I guess we can’t not kill for our food

Fruitarians only eat what plants give out freely. They don’t kill plants or animals for their food.
Wonder if anyone has combined that with also only eating animal by products.

I’m watching more Dr who again, I love the Key To Time series with Romana 1. Possibly the most droll and yet still exciting of Who until the better NuWho as the fans call it.

Not from what I have seen – unless best has a different meaning in some parts of the world (or perhaps the TV there is very different).
I’m only missing the occasional football match (and aimless channel flipping when HKL is busy).

Get an Android box to run off you wi-fi…….
I’m thinking of watching Dr Who…….Haven’t looked at it for 40 years…..so some catching up to do. My box has every series on it so shall dip into one sometime any suggestions where to start?
last night was the finale of ‘The Last Kingdom’ which has been a solid 7 out-of-ten for me.
My patience for ‘Limitless’ is not limitless and I’m giving up on that one……..Supergirl was rubbish………’Elementary’ is back, i like that. Gotham was worth sticking with.
Waiting for ‘Person of Interest’ and ‘Banshee’ to reappear.
The box means that when I watch TV apart from sport there’s always something I like………And I can get all the UK Christmas stuff live or next day.
There’s even a Beatles Channel and I have all the films and the cartoon series.
Oh as an aside……..Somehow I realised that though I’ve read A Christmas Carol I’d never seen any of the screen incarnations……
So about a week ago I noticed that ‘Scrooge’ shot in 1951 with the great Alastair Sims was on my box……I thought of ‘Silly Girl’ when during one scene Bob Cratchet hugs his daughter and says, ‘Martha My Dear ‘ not once but twice!
I’m wondering if Paul, perhaps already having Martha had been inspired from watching the same film….?? I know it’s a stretch but it’s a strange phrase for Liverpool working class Paul.

Old Who is very serialized, so be prepared for a story to run over up to 6 episodes. The first two Whos (Hartnell and Troughton) are in black and white and there are some episodes missing so I’d go back to them later for completists sake and start at Pertwee and go forward. Also be prepared for a style of television very different from today’s, you may have to acclimatize to it! My favourite old Who’s are the Pertwee-Baker-Davison era, with a nod to McCoy, but Colin Baker’s time was very ordinary.

Take in a few Pertwee’s then and go on to Tom Baker! He has the most demented smile 😀

If talking about the new Doctor Who, @Wigwam, I would suggest watching it from the beginning. The new Doctor is different to the old, imo, in that it has much more of a continuity to it. Each series tends to have an arc story across it, and the arc story often affects later series. Christopher Eccleston and series one is the place to start.
