I like watching on TV with commercials and week long breaks better so that suspense can be build and fans can be like OMG what’s gonna happen next week?!.

If it’s a two-parter i’ll normally just watch both back-to-back. If its a 6/8/24 part series then I’ll watch when the interest takes me; i record most shows i’m wanting to watch and watch them back later, especially if they are interrupted by adverts as I can then skip thru.
If just having the tv on the background i’ll change channel at the commercial breaks and then change back. Detest adverts on tv, radio and online.

mmm succinctly describes modern TV viewing. Seems like it is becoming more clear all the time that conventional, real time TV watching, the way the Beatles did it, will become a thing of the past, except for sports and breaking news. It will be interesting to see how this develops with broadcasters and advertisers, who will have trouble jerking themselves away from the 60’s model of Mom, Dad, Susie and Billie huddled around the 16″ Emerson black and white.
I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

Right now, more people watch TV on the TV than on the internet.

There was a report recently which said that because of tv on demand families were able to watch their favourite shows together again at a time that suited them all. So in some ways its nearly back to how it all began except that the time is not dictate to by the broadcaster.
And in America a while back there was a product that would remove the adverts whilst it recorded tv shows. No idea what happened to it as the tv companies moaned about how it lost them revenue, probably got dumped due to all the lawsuits.

You sure about that Ad40???? Most kids who move out just watch everything on the internet, and don’t pay for Cable TV
Yes I’m sure. Younger kids don’t all only internet and the older population on average turns to TV rather than the internet. Internet is still a new thing.

If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, there’d be peace.

I’ve been binging on the H2 show “How The States Got Their Shapes” off of Netflix. It’s really interesting and I’d recommend it if it’s the sort of thing that one is interested in. I can see why it only lasted two seasons with such a finite topic. Season one is better than season two, I’d say, just because they kind of start to repeat themselves by the second season.

Watching the new Muppets show. Animal “offering” his funyuns to Kristen Chenoweth (you’re not allowed to refuse an offer from Animal) before quickly eating the rest and breathing all over her.

I think it’s fabulous @Zig. Some of the jokes are brilliant and even if one is a bit naff another is not far away which makes you laugh. It works far better that Kermit and Miss Piggy aren’t a couple as there is an intensity between them.

It helps the show so much that no one character steals it all the time; Kermit and Piggy hold it all together but everyone floats in and out and even the guest stars dont get the chance to take over. Hopefully more seasons will be sanctioned.
Sadly this piece of tripe was allowed to be attached to the Muppets.

Adults watching children shows, young adults not liking young adult novels! Could it be that age barriors are falling apart! Soon we will have kids paying taxes and elders playing tag in the playground! This will be a perfect world!
