Doctor Who has only one more episode left this season, sadly. (Dark Water was absolutely fantastic, at least)
The only other shows I really watch are The Walking Dead, Sherlock and Brooklyn Nine Nine. All fantastic shows, for entirely different reasons.
I keep meaning to start either Torchwood or Supernatural, but I’m not sure which to start, along with not being quite caught up with The Walking Dead (I’m on season 4, episode 7)

A UK show called Black Mirror is streaming on Netflix in the US now. Has anyone here watched it and can recommend it?

I haven’t seen it, but my guess is that you can’t go wrong with something that “is like a darker version of The Twilight Zone updated for the anxieties of modern technology” And since we are talking about The Twilight Zone, does anybody here remember it (I mean the original 1959-1964 series)? Or Night Gallery, both creations of the great Rod Serling? I remember one episode of the latter, “Pickman´s Model”, based on H.P. Lovecraft –I saw it at 11:00 pm when I was thirteen and couldn’t sleep at all that night…
“Forsan et haec olim meminisse juvabit” (“Perhaps one day it will be a pleasure to look back on even this”; Virgil, The Aeneid, Book 1, line 203, where Aeneas says this to his men after the shipwreck that put them on the shores of Africa)

I started watching more Doctor Who again. I have begun watching Sherlock and Downton. I’ve caught up with the Big Bang Theory after I avoided. The last season didn’t intrest me as much. On the other hand, I have not had much interest in American Horror Story this year. I liked the first season and loved the third one.

I see a remake of Danger Mouse is in the works. I hope they don’t mess it up.
And this article popped up – the real-life laughing baby from the Teletubbies is now 19.

I was a tremendous fan of (Dame) Diana Rigg: Emma Peel, Bond girl, and I saw her in the role of Celimene in Moliere’s The Misanthrope. She could do it all.
Top Gear always seems to be on in the house; always fun.

Agreed. the American version rips off the British version (and rather badly, at that).

Why are there American remakes of British shows and British remakes of American shows? Why not show people the original show?
If you can't log in and can't use the forum go here and someone will help you out.

Different kinds of humour and culture differences I would guess e.g. why is the language in Harry Potter Americanized for the American reader? Harry wasn’t eating jello and candy, he was eating jelly and sweets for Christ’s sake!

As well as the fact that they create different remakes to make money in different countries. However, in the case of Top Gear, it has been syndicated in many different countries, including America. As a matter of fact, Guiness World Records lists Top Gear as the “most watched factual TV program”. I don’t see any need for an American Top Gear, but that’s the TV channel’s business, not mine.

That’s hard… But I guess I’d go for the Bolivia special.
