Really good list. This is a pretty tough question because it’s just like what mood you’re in, I guess, but I don’t know any particular order…except number one which is:

1. The Meters- Cissy Strut (give it a listen if you want)

2. Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings- How Do I Let a Good Man Down?

3. Gladys Knight and the Pips- Midnight Train To Georgia

4. Steely Dan- Your Gold Teeth

5. Chuck Berry- Brown Eyed Handsome Man

6. Bob Marley and the Wailers- Waiting In Vain

7. Marvin Gaye- Pride and Joy

8. Bob Dylan- 4th Time Around

9. Sam the Sham and the Pharaoas- Wooly Bully

10. Ella Fitzgerald- In A Mellow Tone

11. Billie Holiday- Am I Blue?

12. The Archies- Sugar, Sugar

13. Aretha Franklin- Chain Of Fools
14. Chicago- Travel Suite: Happy ‘Cause I’m Coming Home

15. Dave Brubeck Quartet- Take Five

16. George Harrison Apple Scruffs

17. Nat King Cole- Walkin’ My Baby Back Home

18. Sly and the Family Stone- Everyday People

19. The Temptations- Ain’t Too Proud To Beg

20. The Jackson Five- I Want You Back

That was just a quick look at my iPod, I’m sure I’ve forgotten many.

8. Bob Dylan- 4th Time Around

Wonderful choice! One of my favourite Dylan songs as well.

In no order:

4th Time Around, Subterranean Homesick Blues, Spanish Harlem Incident- Bob Dylan

April Come She Will, El Condor Pasa (If I Could)- Simon & Garfunkel

Gentle on My Mind- Glen Campbell

42- Coldplay

Nothing in My Way, Is it Any Wonder?- Keane

Probably more… but in all honesty, most of my favourite songs are Beatle’s songs. About 20 of them! a-hard-days-night-john-6

Tongue, lose thy light. Moon, take thy flight… see ya, George!

Wow! Fantastic lists!! I'm on my way to expand my musical tastes so I'm adding this to my need-to-check list..

U2 – With or without you, Where the streets have no name, Bullet the blue sky, Stay (Far away so close), Miracle Drug, Beautiful Day.

Janis Joplin – Get it while you can, A woman left lonely, and Me and Bobby McGee.

Ok, this is from a folder named 70s-80s-90s romantic songs.

Procul Harum – A whiter shade of pale.

Earth Wind and Fire – Reasons.
Journey – Open Arms.

Roxette – Spending my time.

Madonna – Crazy for you. Take a bow.

Neil Diamond – Love on the Rocks, September Morn.

Jimmi Hendrix – Little Wing.

The Police – I love them. My favorites : Every breath you take, Roxanne and King of Pain.

Sting – Shape of my heart. Englishman in New York.

Kansas – Dust in the Wind.

Christ de Bourgh – Lady in Red.

Ten Sharp – You.

Sinead O'Connor – Nothing compares 2u.

Roberta Flack – Killing me softly with this song.

Duran Duran – Ordinary World.

October Project – Return to me  ()

Glen Hansard and Marketa Irgolova – Falling Slowly (it's the most recent song. I love it)

Michel Fugain – A Belle histoire (I don't know why, but I LOVE THIS SONG)

Mandy Moore – Umbrella (I don't like Mandy Moore and I hated this song with Rihanna, but this combo worked for me)

Elton John – I want love

Boy George – The Crying Game. (Awesome singer + Awesome version = awesome song for an awesome movie)

No Doubt – Don't Speak (the only song I like from them)

Annie Lennox – Why

John Waite – Missing you (the ultimate 80s heart break song)

Spandau Ballet – True.

Bad English – When I see your smile.

And I have another folder named Elisa's favorite 70s-80s-90s but I guess with these is more than enough a-hard-days-night-ringo-6

Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……

Something in the way she moves…..attracts me like a cauliflower…

Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.

Beware of Darkness…

This is kind of tough. But here they are in no particular order.

Most U2 songs

Time of the Season/She's Not There/ Tell Her No-The Zombies

Haven't Met You Yet/ It Had Better Be Tonight (Meglio Sastera)-Michel Buble

London Calling- The Clash

Dancing With Myself/Rebel Yell/ White Wedding-Billy Idol

Incense and Peppermints-Strawberry Alarm Clock

A lot of Beach Boys songs

And that's all I can think of. I'll probably add more in the near future.

"I am definitely a mad man with a box."- Matt Smith as the 11th Doctor of Doctor Who (Episode 1 Season 5: The Eleventh Hour)

Is it just me or does this song sound like a modernized mix of Your Mother Should Know /All You Need Is Love /Peny Lane?
