Just wondering if anyone was still interested in doing this? I’ve been thinking of likely candidates for the categories and didn’t realize how much time had passed since the last comment.

Mr Sun King was the man behind it all, if i remember correctly.
Depends on if anyone wants to co-ordinate it all and if others are going to vote and be involved. I’ll happily get involved. There should be a template for award categories somewhere in the thread and then folks can suggest others.

+1 I probably won’t win anything but I can think of some people for those original categories but I suggest another category
‘Creepiest Paul admirer’
Should we decided to reinstate the “Pepper’s” this year, which I like the idea of, I think we should avoid words like “Creepiest” in any new category we decide to add. Maybe “Most Obsessive admirer”, but someone may be offended if we were to label the “Creepiest”.

I’m up for it if most people want to and are willing to get involved, otherwise there’ll just be a few people voting and that will be a bit… well, not very good.
And yeah, ”most admiring Paul fan”, or something like that is better than ”creepiest”. That one will be very difficult

I’d be willing to help. And I like the idea of keeping it positive.

Would someone here really be offended by “the creepiest”? I can see why that might be but i would hope that knowing the context that it wouldn’t an issue. Suppose its best to be careful.
So is anyone wanting to oversee the organisation, gathering, and announcement of the awards. Ill do it if enough people want to be involved by voting but would happily give it someone who has an urge to lead the way.

Wouldn’t you mind being called creepy, mmm? I see it as a bit of a bad thing to say about someone. Images of dirty, old, sexist teachers come to mind.
Anyway, if this goes ahead, someone who posts frequently should do it so that they know what each person posts like. I thought Parlance would do it, really, as she is the one who’s brought this back up. If you want to, that is.

Yeah, I really don’t like “creepiest” either. Calling the category something like “Most Likely to Stalk Paul” basically conveys the same thing in a gentler “funny greeting card” kind of way, I think.
Oh, and after looking at ASJr.’s post, I hope you guys add the category “Most likely to passive-aggressively complain about somebody’s animated GIF avatar” so I can be assured of a victory! (If I haven’t already won for pissing & whining about LHL’s and Parlance’s, earlier in the year…)
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Maybe MMM and I could work together? I don’t see it being overwhelming, but if it is, at least sharing the work would keep us both cheerful about it.
