Oh yes, I think my name shows that. Besides the Beatles he's my favourite artist. He's so great. And he's a big Beatles fan. He had good relationships to all of them. I like his cover version of “Lucy in the sky”. I think it's better than the original version. In my opinion Elton John is the best Rock'n'Roll pinao player of all time. He wrote so many good songs with so many fantastic piano parts.
One of my favourites:
Love lies Bleeding
Your Song
Tiny Dancer
Someone saved my Life Tonight
I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues
His hit singles are great but I also like his unknown songs.

Yes, pick up Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, you will not be disappointed!
You're right. This album is as good as the White Album . I know it's a bold statement but I think it's true.

It's about as close as one man can get to the White Album , unfortunately for Elton there were three incredible songwriters on the White Album .

Alright, I guess Don't Pass Me By puts Ringo in the same category as Lennon, McCartney and Harrison. How could I have been so foolish?

You never said that they were in the same league. Don't pass me by is incredibly written. “there were three (now four) INCREDIBLE songwriters”

There are two incredible songwriters on Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Bernie Taupin wrote all the lyrics. And Elton was musically as good as Lennon, McCartney and Harrison. No doubt.

Yellow Brick Road seconded, thirded, etc. I'm content to own that one and a few “Greatest Hits” collections.
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.
I'd agree with that. There's not really anything special about the songwriting there.
Welcome back btw.

Since GnikNus was too polite to answer to this I take the chance.
I guess what you MEANT to say was “I never said…”, than it makes more sense.
Sorry, but “Don't pass me by” is one of the most generic and boring songs – structure-wise – the Beatles ever did. The faster mono-version is slightly better than the unbearable stereo-version, but it's still far from being “incredibly written”. And I guess, he had even lots of help by the others, as you can see with “Octopus's garden”.
Ringo is an incredible drummer and incredibly cool and good-hearted and sweet – but NO incredible songwriter.
Oh, sorry, abandoned my own rule. “I think there are 4 incredible songwriters”
Do you want me to say more or should I finish cleaning your ass?

I admit I don't understand either of those sentences.
However, I DID understand that it's YOUR opinion that there were “4 incredible songwriters in the Beatles”.
It's MY opinion that you are wrong about that, as I pointed out.
I'm not sure what my behind has to do with that…
I am literally astounded at the fact that you still don't know that I'm still bullshitting with you.

My dear boy, while I can understand your desperate (and quite vulgar) try to save your face I have to point out that you just don't have the cognitive weapons you need for making fun of people more than twice your age.
So, before this goes even further into the deep zones of teenage angst let's stop it. Just remember the good advice I gave you in that other thread.
I still have no idea what you are talking about. You have been a great sport and I really must say you have been following this quite well. I'm proud of you.

No, the problem is that you have no idea what YOU are talking about, I'm afraid…
You have made yourself redundant (to me at least). See, you're like a slinky. No real use to me, but it would put a smile on my face if I could see you pushed down a flight of stairs.

Nice attitude for a “hard-core Christian”, I have to say!
Just re-read the thread and notice who answered on topic and who started the redundant, pointless, vulgar and immature name-calling, Socrates.
Not a hard-core Christian anymore. Also, you are redundant to ME, not to the forum.
