I have a couple Bob Dylan albums on hold right now at the library, and one of them is his Christmas album, so I’m pretty stoked to go pick those up later. I’ll def be listening to his Christmas album all night.
His voice sounds the worst on the Christmas album. His voice has suffered a lot of weathering and damage and it is worst on that album. The sound of his voice has recovered somewhat since then.

Bloody hell. On ‘Shadows In The Night’ Dylan sounded like he was a hardline mobster with a decimated voicebox threatening his worst enemy whilst suffering from a heavy cold and an asthma attack. His voice on the cover of ‘Things We Said Today ‘ is incredibly terrifying and not to be heard if you are easily scared. And they all came after.

Yes, the Beatles cover was awful. Maybe worse than the Christmas album. I guarantee Shadows in the Night is better than the Christmas album.
I thought he sounded even better on Fallen Angels and Triplicate, though.

I agree. By triplicate he’s got it back, and he sounds more like he did in the early 2000s on Love And Theft.

His voice is pretty bad on the Christmas album and Shadows In the Night, but I still like both those albums. His voice gives a spooky take on many classic Christmas songs. 10/10 would recommend. (Y)

I can’t stop listening to Bob Dylan.
This happened me too. My car was loaded only with Bob Dylan and I play it from my ipod as well. My friends don’t really let me play Dylan in public, so i’m pretty much planning the next time I can listen to music when I listen to other artists.
Its happened with The Grateful Dead too.

Of course now that I’ve said that, I’m listening to Shaved Fish. But I usually play one or two non-Bob albums here and there.

I have a feeling that there may be some complaint about this one, in that many will feel that the two “Rare and Unreleased” discs – which include the bulk of the previously unreleased songs – should be the standard version, rather than the two live discs that are. For any Bobheads, it means there is no choice but to go for the expensive Deluxe.
If pre-ordered through Dylan’s website, the Deluxe will come (on a limited basis) with a bonus 2CD set, Live in San Diego, featuring his complete concert at the Golden Hall on 28 November 1979.
1. Gotta Serve Somebody
2. I Believe in You
3. When You Gonna Wake Up
4. When He Returns
5. Man Gave Names to All the Animals
6. Precious Angel
7. Slow Train
8. Covenant Woman
9. Gonna Change My Way of Thinking
10. Do Right to Me Baby (Do Unto Others)
11. Solid Rock
12. Saving Grace
13. Saved
14. What Can I Do for You?
15, In the Garden
16. Blessed Is the Name
17. Pressing On
(The split between the 2CDs is difficult to know, as no details for the set are given, but there was a break taken in the performance between tracks 8 and 9).
On another front, it seems that the Bob Dylan Archive in Tulsa now has a website, and a “work-in-progress” catalogue (dated March 2017) is available as a PDF. Though far from complete, already possible to identify lots of song titles that have never even been rumoured.
