I think we will just have to agree to disagree, I just really did not like him as the Doctor at all and ended up not bothering to watch (the storylines didnt help). But i agree that at times the amount of romantic claptrap shoveled on in the Tennant reign was absurd and therefore also got pretty unwatchable at times.

K9 and Sarah Jane Smith played by the late great Elisabeth Sladen. My era of Doctor Who. Not saying I haven’t enjoyed the new era immensely. Of the new era companions, probably Rose (Billie Piper).

Of the newbies Rose was great at the beginning before she was trying to cop off with Tennant every 3 seconds; Martha was utterly useless not only due to her unrequited love for Tennant (worst of the lot); Donna was great bringing humour and no romanance to the role (i really enjoyed that series); Amy was great when she wasn’t trying to cop off with Smith and Clara is better now she’s not trying to cop off with Matt Smith and there is an underlying tension (non-sexual) between her and Capaldi (no being sick and no nookie in the Tardis).
Basically cut out all the sexual chemistry and focus on the plots and the assistants were good. It became too dull, predictable and dreary when the assistant and/or the Doctor spent more time trying to steal a snog then defeat the enemy. Not that there weren’t issues with other aspects of the episodes.
I just caught the end of Sylvester McCoy’s time as the Doctor so can’t comment on the pre-00’s.

Wait , wait, wait. ROSE????? Rose is the single worst companion in the history of the show. Including Kamelion.
Rory and Amy are my favorite companion team, though Donna was great too.
Also, I honestly liked Clara way more with Matt Smith than I do with Capaldi.

So far I like Donna Noble the best of the new series. I liked Martha when she wasn’t pining after the doctor. Something about Rose I didn’t like. I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Rose was good with Eccleston, you just have to factor out everything he left after as it was filled with lots of mushy looks towards The Doctor and trying to hump him. At least Amy had a bit of attitude and had Rory around to stop all that guff (the episode where the Amy had to choose and they all kept falling asleep was dire).

Its a fake and was designed/created by the owner of Minionblog. Along with many other photoshops of the Beatles with the Daleks there are others where the Beatles are placed alongside The Cybermen, Doctor Who and The TARDIS.
The Beatles part of the photo is from when Paul turned 21 in June 1963.

From wiki
“The bumps”, or “the dumps” in Scotland, a birthday torment common in countries such as the U.K., Ireland, Canada, and India, involves the friends and family of the person whose birthday it is taking him or her by the arms and legs, and “bumping” him/her up into the air and down onto the floor. The number of “bumps” given equals the age of the person in years plus one “for luck”. Usually “the Bumps” are administered only to children, in part because as people grow up they become too heavy for the process. Sometimes bumps are also referred to kicks where the person celebrating their birthday is held by their arms and legs and their friends kick them. This practice is often disapproved in regard to health and safety concerns.

Ah The Bumps – I remember hiding at Secondary School on my 14th birthday so my friends wouldn’t bump me. It usually came with a major kicking, every time you landed on the floor. Happy Days
The Beatles are English - They have influences from all over - but they are English
