The Doctor’s new look has been revealed on the BBC and he looks good, like he’s not going to take any nonsense.
I still haven’t seen Matt Smith’s departure.

Yeah, he looks quite good. Dunno what’s with the ”magician” pointy-finger pose, though.

Me neither.

The new Doctor plays George in a tv drama back in 1985.
Am pleased to say he isn’t the worst thing in it, that has to go to the false moustaches.

Sad to see Paul in that, because he’s dead. The beard masks his false face.
But would it be Paul’s false face or Faul’s real face?

Well it’s obviously Faul’s real face which doesn’t look exactly like Paul’s real face, so he had to mask it.

This may be common knowledge, but I hadn’t heard it before, and so thought I’d mention it. Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit) is rumoured to be doing an episode or two in the next series. It seems he had one demand, to which Steven Moffatt replied, “You’re Peter f**king Jackson, of course you can have the Deleks!”
Dr. Who. Peter Jackson. The Deleks. Already drooling!

I can’t wait for Christmas just so I can watch A Christmas Carol again. It’s my favourite episode ever, out of the new and classic series – it’s just so beautiful and magic and perfect in every way, and that doesn’t go for many things. It gets me in such a Christmassy mood (I love winter and Christmas, and I hate spring and summer for the most part). God it’s amazing.

I love it. (Glad to see another die hard Whovian on here). Definitely best of the Christmas specials. (though The Snowmen is pretty great). My favorite episode ever, though? Man, that’s tough. The Impossible Astronaut/Day Of The Moon might be it. The Name of the Doctor is fantastic. On the lighter side, I really love Closing Time and Dinosaurs on a Spaceship. Man, this is tough. (notice it’s all Matt Smith, though. Easily the best of the new series Doctors, and probably the best ever. Certainly my favorite. Along with Moffat’s incredible writing, he’s my favorite Doctor.

A new trailer is out for the upcoming series 8 with new Doctor Peter Capaldi.
I’m waiting until the new series begins on the 23rd August before watching Matt Smith’s final episode. Never got around to watching it and its less than a couple of months away before the return.

The BBC are usually pretty good at keeping what’s coming up shrouded in secrecy and security. They have blown it spectacularly ahead of Peter Capaldi’s first season though. Unfinished scripts for the first five episodes, and rough cuts of the first two episodes (in b&w and no CGI), have leaked online. They appear to have come from BBC America’s Latin American department, given advance access to do the translations so that the broadcast can be close to UK transmission. What a balls-up! You can see heads rolling!
Now, I don’t mind a bit of speculation, and the occasional spoiler… but this has to be one of the worst advance leaks ever! Nearly half of Capaldi’s first season!
I would request that anyone who can’t resist hunting out the leaked material, please do not post it here (even under spoiler tabs). I don’t want the first five episodes spoiled in any way.

Good news, well for me at least. Peter Capaldi has revealed there will be no more of that crap mind-numbingly boring flirting that has plagued Doctor Who for so long, its also going have more of a drama feel to it instead of the Hollywood blockbuster aimed at 14 year-olds approach that has come into it over the last few years. Will be good to get back to the story leading the series instead of a big evil monster needing to blow things up resulting in lots of running about by Matt Smith and Clara who only stop to look at each other and cough awkwardly.
Man, how much did i grow to dislike the last series or two.

Watched the first episode of the new series late last night. My ‘Doctor Who’ is back and we got proper acting. Acting!!!!!!!!!!!! Not just shouting and running around but acting as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And no flirting or girlfriend/boyfriend garbage.

If that’s a shot at Matt Smith you are dearly wrong. He had many absolutely fantastically acted moments.
Anyway, I really liked the episode last night. Though Clara’s reaction to his regeneration bugged me immensely. She’s seen his other incarnations! She knows they’re different. She was quite honestly acting incredibly stupid. Anyway, Peter Capaldi was absolutely fantastic. He’s already the Doctor. He probably won’t be quite as good as Matt Smith (probably the best Doctor), but he seems like he’ll be pretty darn good. I’m excited. (also, holy phone call!!)
Anyway, it was great.

Name one moment of great acting by Matt Smith as the Doctor – and looking soppily at Amy or Clara or River doesnt count.
About time the Doctor got his balls back, Tennett’s had them until he started looking soppily at Rose and finally lost them when she left – or she took them with her.

There’s not a moment of bad acting by Matt Smith. And there’s much less of the romantic stuff than with Tennant. For some acting highlights? The Eleventh Hour was a brilliant acting job, and that was just his first episode. The Lodger and Closing Time are some brilliant pieces of comedy. His speech in The Pandorica Opens is fantastic. The Impossible Astronaut and Day of the Moon are some brilliant pieces of him being clever, along with some fantastic acting with him facing his “death”. When he’s dying of the poison in Let’s Kill Hitler he’s fantastic. The way he talks to Dalek-Oswin in Asylum of the Daleks is great. When he kills Solomon in Dinosaurs in a Spaceship you can practically feel his emotions coursing through the screen. When he loses Amy & Rory his emotion is so brilliant. (Though Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill deserve a lot of credit in that episode as well). I can’t even describe his acting in the Name, Day, and Time of the Doctor. It’s too brilliant. His speech to the Daleks right before his giant explosion is awesome, and his more contained speech to Clara right before his real regeneration is beautiful. Anyway, is that enough?
