I used to play the flute, but was absolutely miserable at it. I can pick out a tune on the piano fairly decently, but the one instrument that I truly enjoy is the (acoustic) guitar. I have made a vow to play the electric guitar on my 64th birthday, because I want to be the coolest grandmother ever!

You will certainly be the coolest grandmother ever! And since you've been playing acoustic first, you'll be surprised at how much easier electric is. When I say that, I mean since the strings are so soft and everything is more responsive, it's easier on the fingers and you can fool around with it more.

Well that's certainly good news, because to be honest I've been a little bit intimidated by electric guitars. They're just so… impressive. Now, all I have to do is go out and buy some Beatles replicas and get pickin'…

I'm a guitarist, but I confess I've gotten damn lazy aboutu it in my advancing age. It was my instrument while earning my music degree, but since I don't play professionally, I don't have much motivation to keep it up. But I can play what interests me still–I guess that's all that matters.
I also play piano (modestly) and sing (better than modestly). I used to be a woodwind player in my youth, primarily clarinet but could play all the other woodwinds except oboe, because oboe's a bitch. In college, I played lute too, in an early music ensemble, for 5 years or so. Still have the lutes.
Lately–the past 3 months or so–I've mainly been playing Beatles songs. For some guitarist, their “point of origin” as musicians is the blues, so when they want to touch base with their musical roots, they focus on the blues of a while. For other guitarists, it's classical music. For me it's the Beatles.
I'm not a girl who misses much.

I’m a guitarist and singer. I also play bass, drums, trumpet, and (poorly) piano.

I´m (trying) to learn to play the guitar. I´m trying because I´m kinda teaching myself seeing as my tecaher has swanned off to Thailand for 5 months! Yeah, thanks for that, how much of a chance have I got now?!
Despite that though, I’m truly in love with the guitar and I´m desperate to play it properly.

I play a flute and, as Paul would say, “a little piano,”. I wish I was a better pianist and could play guitar, but I’m not exactly rigorous when it comes to practising.

How do you play vocal chords?
You just have to exhale and control the muscles around the vocal cords so they vibrate and make a noise. Preferably a note if you’re singing. Which is what I usually do when I play vocal chords.

I play tuba in band, and used to play trumpet/baritone. I recently picked up my first guitar, and my teacher says I’m coming along very nicely. I mess with the drums in the band room sometimes, but that’s all it is; fooling. I might decide to pick those up, too, at some point.

I play the piano, I learn classical music by sheet music and the rest by ear and sometimes Youtube videos. I really enjoy playing You Never Give Me Your Money on the piano as well as the medleys in Abbey Road .
I am starting to play the acoustic guitar but I am having trouble doing the rhythm as John plays it. He has a 3/4th scaled guitar which makes it easier to play the barred chords, I don’t have long fingers =.
