A charango! I’d never heard of that – I had to look it up. Looks intriguing.
It’s an stringed instrument from South America (basically Bolivia, Peru and Argentina), it’s like a little guitar, with five pairs of strings.

I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.

I learnt piano for about a year at my old school, and I also play the Baritone Saxophone at school in one of our school’s bands, and I learnt Clarinet as well for a couple of years, but didn’t like it very much.
I recently bought a couple of books that have all the Beatles music in
it for piano and guitar, so I’ve been practicing those alot.

I played piano for a couple of years in primary, and I started playing drums a year ago. I’m in one of the school bands (the same one as JoB, incidentally), and I’m sort of learning bass on the side. It’s really helped me appreciate just how intricate and complex their music is. And I have no idea how Paul plays All My Loving and I Saw Her Standing There while singing…

Which reminds me, I still wanna hear you play that.
And we are also (hopefully) going to play Got To Get You Into My Life in band soon, since it is such a great song for a band.

I think he’s forgotten about it…I have to remind him nearly every week.
And we might have to get a guy to sing it, because it sounds like he’s talking about a girl…I’m looking at you ‘Paul’. You could always be Ringo and drum and sing at the same time… I doubt any of the singers would want to. The violins could still get the melody, or long notes, like I’ll probably get. Which is going to be really boring.

I only play the drums. I’ve been playing since I was 9, so I’m OK at it now. I’m not really one to judge how good I actually am though. It seems that anyone who plays an instrument also plays the drums. Quite irritating actually cause no one appreciates drummers. Like when Paul replaced poor Ringo for several songs.

To an extent. One of the reasons they didn’t use many of the early Beatles songs on Love was because the rhythm parts weren’t really all that different from one another (another was that they couldn’t easily isolate the drum parts anyway).
Post ’65 I think it’s true, but I’d argue that it wasn’t the only reason Ringo was such a good drummer. In the early days, nobody had really drummed like he did on Twist And Shout , I Want To Hold Your Hand etc – the four-to-the-floor style was hugely influential.

Oh gosh, I've been playing music and different musical instruments the majority of my life.
My main instrument is guitar. I've been playing for 16 years. My father plays guitar, and seeing him playing Beatles songs when I was younger really opened the doors for me. When I started really getting into The Beatles song writing my guitar playing really changed quite a bit. I began experimenting with different chord arrangements and song structure and what not.
I'm a multi-instrumentalist as I play bass, drums, harmonica, ocarina, and piano along with guitar. I have a home studio and record music all of the time.

eh hey! first post!
I've played guitar since I was 16, obsessively (I'm now 19). I started teaching myself pretty much the day after I discovered I was madly in love with the Beatles…It's a chunky old Yamaha acoustic, named Roger, with a nice folksy sound so it puts its own twist on some of the songs I cover, but nonetheless, it's lovely
I also play the harmonica and for a while I played the ukulele but I was a poor college kid and needed money for food…

Hi! You sold your ukulele? How many meals can you get for the price of a second-hand uke?

heh…I think I sold it for about $60, which buys a lot of ramen noodles and cans of beans. I just needed it to get me through for a couple weeks. Luckily, I don't have to live like that anymore!
