Wow, what a beautiful song and above all, what beautiful HARMONIES! It reminded me a lot of the Beach Boys at times. Awesome song!

Thanks very much for the kind comments. A friend of mine helped out with harmonies and rhythm & lead guitar and I recorded it all on my laptop. I don’t know Little Lamb Dragonfly so I’ll check them out.

Regarding my own project(s):
I feel dumb for saying I’d try and post one before the end of the holidays. The recording and editing process takes forever when you are by yourself!* I’ve just had to scrap one of the projects. I think I should say that I’ll post my own stuff in my own time than set myself a time limit. Isn’t that how Paul managed to get McCartney and McCartney II sounding how it is? With a proper dedication and time when recording and editing?
*I desperately want to be in a band.

I can feel with you @SgtPeppersBulldog! I don’t know how often I thought: ‘well, I’ve got a whole day for recording now, I should manage a lot’ and then I spend 8 hours on one single guitar part and some singing and in the end I’m not satisfied with any take and realise that from a whole day of recording there are exactly zero seconds I can use for the song. That’s always a delightful feeling. Anyway, I think that’s a good idea and I’m looking forward to your music when you feel that it’s ready, especially, when it sounds as good as the songs from McCartney (II)!

I’ve since scrapped all the projects and deleted Mixpad since that last post. Listening back to the them at high volume, the audio quality is horrific. But I’m not giving up. I’m on the quest to find a better app which is free, brilliant quality audio, and not a trial/demo!

Have you already tried Audacity? That one’s really good and it’s also free!

Are you using a microphone, or using the in-built microphone on your device? If you’re using the latter, then that explains the sound quality, no app can fix it.

@The Hole Got Fixed, that’s a very good album right there! I love your take on Eleanor Rigby ; it sounds kind of Doors-y to me. Rhythm of the Afterthought and To Do List stuck out to me as well, not to mention The Hellhole Riga. One thing I really enjoy about the album is that the covers (Eleanor Rigby , Twist And Shout , etc) bring something to the table that is unique to that particular version, and that really distinguishes it from the original. I thought that was fun!
And @Leppo, that was spectacular! The harmonies are great, and the instrumentation is super cool!

I’m really happy that you find everything so different and funny. Strangely, it wasn’t my idea to do Here Comes The Sun or Eleanor Rigby , and I didn’t care! I’m surprised that you like ROTA, I didn’t think anyone would.

@Leppo that track is brilliant. It reminds me (a bit) of Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci (also a bit Pink Floydesque). Love the arrangments.
Also been listening to your other stuff. Sounds cool. Keep it up.
@The Hole Got Fixed , love the lofi and DIY overall feeling from your release. Very underground. Love it.

Aww, thanks, glad you like it, there’s a lot more to come! I haven’t realised that it’s underground, that’s a really great way to put it!
In stark contrast you get Leppo’s songs, which are much better in so many categories!
