Loved this!! Been looking forward to this for so long and it didn’t disappoint.
Loved all the variations in texture, and the range of sounds across the album and within songs.
Take It Slow is a particular favourite.
Can really hear how much effort and detail has gone in, and well worth it

Glad you guys are enjoying it. Thanks so much for listening. New single coming out in early July (its ready to go I’m just trying some things out with spotify promotion so i have to delay the release) and I’m already hard at work on the next album, imo the new songs are my best yet.

This is a groovy album @sir walter raleigh! It’s also on youtube if someone doesn’t have Spotify. There’s also a heartfelt version of Across The Universe . My 28 old daughter was listening this morning and put Take It Slow on her phone! Thanks for sharing Walt. I’m always blown away at all the talented musicians on our forum.

Wow lotsa jazzy guitar chords in “Loud”; you really know your stuff, you very much UN-stupid git! “Lay Down” is very well done too; the break into the e.piano solo reminds me of Steely Dan or Spirit, possibly as Sir W intended…and even a fake endin/reprise, in the spirit of our revered Beatles..great stuff, Sir!
(And that tedious song was always one of my must-skips on the Dylan “Biograph” cassettes I dubbed from the library’s copy in ’86…yours is more interesting!)(and yeah I love Bobby Z, of course I do)
I didn’t realize that Mombontee had this old instrument in the closet; I was inexplicably interested in learning play it for a month before, and after, Xmas 1986; turned out the strings were even more painful than guitar). I pulled it out an hour ago and instantly created this on the spot; hoping to have it mixed and pressed; and panned in previews by the press; and eventually sent to pressing plants and onto the AM radio by day’s end. Toppermost of the poppermost!

Here is my high school jazz band rehearsal from yesterday. We are taking this and 2 other songs to a festival on Saturday.
I am playing the guitar to the left behind piano.
Also Sam’s baritone sax solo is SO good (i love him).
dorian trombone flip when he got up to solo was epic
It’s still a little messy but we are having another rehearsal after school today.
Also, I know Olivia spelled the title wrong lol. we laughed at her for it don’t worry.
And that one trumpet in the back that is wandering around does NOT play trumpet. He’s just messing around. he’s a drummer that plays on the other songs and flips pages for Warren (drummer in this vid) when not playing.
Give your feedback! (on the forum, not in the comments pls)

As a Father and Grandfather, and Godparent of current and former jazz band musicians, I can tell you without hesitation that was great fun @Neely. Also your piano player is quite the character!
