Summer is winding down in my part of the world (that'd be America). It's been a crazy one full of hurricanes for some and heat waves for others.

What did you guys do over the summer? If you're a student, when does/did school start for you? I go to High School on Sepetember 7th.

Because the wind is high, it blows my mind.

I took LSD, smoked weed and snorted cocaine. All kidding aside, I visited New York City, saw the Dakota and Strawberry Fields, saw Paul, visited Montreal twice, and had the most fun I’ve had in a while with my uncle and my cousin. And this is all coming from the friendly confines of Canada.

Mhh I don't remember doing anything interesting this Summer, with exception of watching U2 live.

Most of what I did involved hanging out with friends; went bowling, saw movies went downtown etc. Didn't go on any vacations, but I sometimes prefer it that way. I start first year university on Monday, a bit nervous.

'Summer' on my side of the world is basicly for the whole of June. Starts in July. But now I'm on my September holidays which only lasts one week. Sigh

Step on the gas and wipe that tear away.

I think my summer lasted 5 days spread over 10 weeks. In the UK the summer time has been rotten. As for my own summer lest spoken. A wash out as well, well it must have been as i cant think of anything. Family illness was the main part.

I think this was my “Help !” summer.

You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

I go back on the 7th for an administration-y day, and then I don't officially go back until the 12th.

My summer's been okay, I've been to some amazing gigs and I've generally just chilled out after what was probably the most stressful year of my life. a-hard-days-night-george-4

I think it's great you're going through a phase,

and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple

of days

Mrs Taxman mention of seeing Paul (twice) reminded me that I saw Ringo live. The fact that i forgot says a lot.

I’ve been back at school for the past week so my summer has been dead. But mine was interesting.

  • Saw Paul (highlight of my summer)
  • Went to the New York premier of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Like literally camped out the night before with other fans and waited all day in the blazing sun just to see a quick glimpse of them from far away. Not even cool but an interesting experience.
  • Went to Florida and did not go to any amusement parks
  • Went to Maryland for my uncle's wedding
  • helped my family move
  • did the MP3 Experiment in New York
  • hung out with some friends
  • a couple parties
  • But I mostly slept all summer. I regret nothing.

The low point of my summer was when a family member passed away. George got me through it a-hard-days-night-george-6

my summer… this is like those “What I Did On My Summer Vacation” assignments we used to get in middle school.

Alright well I graduated, went skiing in Oregon (yes, there's still snow there), went to my friend's cabin and hung out wakesurfing and waterskiing for a week, and did a lot of fitness training and working on my family's ranch. And a lot of road biking and horseback riding. most of that, too, within lovely Canada.

I've been at school in Vermont for two weeks, but a lot of that time was spent volunteering and cleaning up after the hurricane. I go skiing in Chile on thursdaya-hard-days-night-george-6

Highlight of the summer was probably seeing my sister get married (to a guy she’s been living with for like 15 years, and they already have an adorable 2-year old daughter so what was the bloody point?! Aside from the fact that our cousin got married LAST summer and I think she was jealous!) But seriously it was a great time – the aforementioned cousin and the groom and his stepfather and myself all smoked some fine weed and were soaring all night long!

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

That sounds like some quality family fun time if you ask me a-hard-days-night-george-4

In terms of progression; for the Beatles, musically, and for me, my adolescent progression into an adult.

Mostly sleeping and complaining, for me. Listened to a lot of music, avoided doing school work, bungled a short story, volunteered at Waterstone's in order to get a paid job there (which I have now), played Portal 2, filmed a few scenes of a short film, managed to completely fail to film anything from the sketch show I'd been planning to film with my friends (“budget constraints”), did some freelance blogging, went to Croatia for a week (too sunny), and yeah, that's pretty much everything. I went to London for a day, which was the closest thing to something other people would find interesting that I did.

I told her I didn’t

It's never good when you have to strain to remember the past three months…I think I did…nothing. No weddings, no weed, nothing! But I suppose my weeklong vacation to a beautiful lake in southwest Michigan was the highlight, a week of sitting around, drinking beer, skiing, tubing…ok maybe there was a little bit of weed this summer. mal-evans

I learned a bunch of celtic folk songs on my new guitar which I bought this summer, filled in for my friend on bass for a couple of gigs with their depressingly boring band, read a bunch, wrote some stuff, lost a bit of weight, learned a bit of Spanish. All in all, a fairly productive if not overly exciting summer.

Well, I suppose it's time I listed what I did.

-Went on vacation to lovely Hawaii (The highlight)

-Went to a water park which closed down 10 mins after I got there

-Moved to a new house

-Got to see my newborn cousin heart

-Went to a tennis camp filled with… 8 year olds for some reason

-Saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at midnight. Didn't have to camp out, because my grandmother did that for me….

-Saw a tribute band

I think that sums it up for me.

Because the wind is high, it blows my mind.
