Captain/Mayor Tom is up to almost £25m raised.
Little hasn’t been said yet on how incredible it is.
Who wants to bet it’ll be featured in the next SGN?
What’s SGN, @50yearslate?
Anyway, when @meanmistermustard, posted that, he was actually on around £21-and-a-half million; he has now passed £25 million – currently on £25,419,436.65.
Oh, and he’s released a charity single with Michael Ball & The NHS Voices of Care Choir…
Given all that’s happened so far, who’d be surprised if this #1 in the UK on Friday, and if it is, he’ll be #1 on his 100th birthday on 30 April.
Here’s hoping for a Captain Tom Moore, total inspiration, #1.
(Notice you’ve now promoted/demoted him (?) from Major to Mayor, mmm .)

Trump is all about his campaign trail now and says and does what is ultimately best for himself. He spouts lies, spreads disharmony and attacks anyone who doesn’t go his way yet for some reason folk are happy to overlook it. The election campaign is going to be really ugly at a time when millions of citizens are still needing help to recover and get their lives back.
As for Captain Tom, I have huge admiration for all he has achieved and the massive difference he has made, but all the surrounding circus created by the media makes me uncomfortable. I just hope he is happy and enjoys the experience for all he gets out of it.

My mam said this morning “Trump, a bollocks”.
I think it sums it up accurately.

The Beeb asked the Bootleg Beatles for a song. Paul wants to to do “Stay Inside love.” George suggests Don’t Bother Me . John quips that Come Together is out. Ringo comes to the rescue.

SGN is Some Good News, a sort of YouTube show that John Krasinski started doing. It’s really funny (because John Krasinski) but also really sweet and I highly recommend it. (By the way, I just watched Episode 4 and there was no mention of Captain Tom, but it wasn’t really a regular episode, so maybe it’ll be in the next one?

Turned on to see some of Trump’s latest briefing. I missed the start and I genuinely have no what he’s going on now about except how fantastic they have done in everything and that without their brilliance it would have been much much worse. He’s bloody terrible at this, monotonous and rambling and only breaking to throw in how good they have been.

Arra here lads how cute is this, every week there has been a Doctor Who episode rewatch where a lot of the actors, the showrunner, directors, writers and everything get involved on Twitter and live-tweet the episode. Tonight’s episode was under the tag #SubWaveNetwork.
The director for this week’s episodes (the Series 4 two parter finale) 75 year old Graeme Harper started his very first Twitter account to live tweet the episode.
His first two tweets are as follows (Emily is in reference to Emily Cook, who works at Doctor Who Magazine and is the sister of the popular Doctor Who sideman Ben Cook):
Hi Emily this is my first attempt at tweeting have you received it?
and
hashtagsubwavenetwork
Later on he forgot about the hashtagging and did
@SubWaveNetwork
and just
SubWaveNetwork
instead
How absolutely precious can one get?

Reminds me a little bit about my grandma, another precious soul she is. Once she told me that fishes would gasp in exasperation shortly before dying, which is how I determine the freshness of fishes sometimes in the market.
But in all honesty it’s nice to see someone taking an initiative to venture into unfamiliar territory.

*laughs in Eastern Standard Time* I love getting updates from time zones ahead of mine. I’ll have a look at it when it gets dark on my sliver of the globe.
Which makes me wonder, what do flat earthers think about time zones? More importantly, do I want to fall down that rabbit hole? (Probably not.)

Some Beatles covers from isolation… Every one of which I could have posted in “The best Beatles covers (other musicians covering Beatles songs)” thread…
Came across this one via an NME article, which described it as “[G-Eazy] raps over John Lennon ‘s voice on a version of 1968 Beatles track ‘I’m So Tired ‘,” which I thought sounded a bloody awful idea, but pressed play thinking it wouldn’t be up that long since I couldn’t see any way he could have got permission to use John’s vocal. Rarely have I read such a misleading description of a track, I can’t hear John’s voice anywhere, and there’s no rap…
Which reminded me I meant to post Blossoms cover of Paperback Writer the other day… I like how all the individual tracks/overdubs have their own video…
And this cropped up as a “recommended for you”, The Main Squeeze with, appropriately, a little help from their friends… Helluva guitar solo around 5:10…

Heh an interesting take on John’s song but it fits it very well– a very good modern adaptation that I actually really like (even though usually I’m not partial to G-Eazy)

If only Zoom actually worked for playing together with people long-distance, but it really doesn’t. It’s designed to not let people talk over each other by picking one person’s audio and sticking to it. Believe me, my friends and I have tried
