I turned on the radio this morning and “Twist And Shout ” came on–I maybe cried happy tears because of John’s vocals and it being arguably the best cover song ever done. Also, come on–it’s amazing that local radio stations play the Beatles just Because .

Sometimes I click on the Beatles Trivia Even Easier thread when I am tired, and it takes me a few moments to realize that I’m reading our imaginations instead of a factual thread. It has caused me many a furrowed brow.

I know HKL was completely thrown by it all (heck, so was I when I first ventured in there).
It’s a fun crazy place though!

One time I slept over at my friend’s house and I woke up and puked all over her couch but I didn’t want to be rude and wake her up so I flipped the couch cushions over and went home
^ I hope you washed it down at least, knowing me, if I was the friend, I’d wake up, smell vomit and then throw up myself. Then I would have found out your terrible secret!
Confession: I may or may not have listened to ‘You Can Call me Al’ by Paul Simon over 50+ times since Tuesday- oh dear, I’ve been typing out an essay for over an hour and I have it on repeat in the background- it’s just such a fun song!

I am beginning to suspect that everyone starts posting like mad the instant I leave the forum for any length of time.

Interesting theory.
I confess I was going to test it, but you’re still here.

We have to fill the void you leave with something. The number of posts only reflects how big that void is.

Hypothesis it is since I haven’t collected data and analyzed it.

I was eating veal out at dinner. Quite a treat, that. But as I was finishing, I thought of it being a baby cow and how Paul is a vegetarian and suddenly it wasn’t very appetizing anymore.
I just remember that three of them weren’t 😉

The cow was from a factory farm most likely so they won’t be missing much.

That’s an awful negative way to look at it. I saw a picture once of two chickens cuddling in a factory farm on PETA’s website. Yeah, their lives are horrible, but there’s more to it than that. They are individuals with goals and dreams and feelings.
I guess I can see where you’re coming from, though, and I am a firm believer of quality over quantity, but that just makes me sad any way I look at it.

I don’t know if you guys know this, but I believe that was virtually the very same experience Paul and Linda had when they first decided to become vegetarians. As I dimly recall, they were eating veal in their farm looking out the window and saw the very same type of animal they were eating, and they said it suddenly hit them that they had to stop. (Or was it lamb they were eating…?)
