You’re not alone. In many cases I still can’t tell whether a certain member forum is a male or a female. They all use pics of males (the Beatles) as avatars, so…

Yeah, well, perhaps there should be a way for everybody to know which gender is each one of the members… Something like “Forum posts: 257”, “Member since: 28 January 2013”, “Gender: Male”.

I don’t think it really matters, honestly. The worst that happens is a slightly embarrassing mistake and a quick correction, no hard feelings. I mean, I’d be all for that as an optional field, but I don’t think it’s necessary.

It would have to be optional in my opinion. I’m with Faceo on this one.

Hey @Ahhh Girl, when I first saw your pic I thought you were a gay man… You have to admit Sir Paul seems to be coming out of the closet in that pic.

@Oudis, curious, how long did it take you to figure out that I wasn’t?

The freeforums, like Anna’s backup BBF and the Pattie one I made for fun have that option. (I made little George and Pattie heads to represent each. ) And it was optional there, but I don’t think it’s necessary either. It can make things a bit awkward, but it’s fun figuring out if you don’t know!
@Ahhh Girl Maybe when he realized you were jealous of Nancy not John!
Now that that McLennon joke is out of the way, I pinpointed your (approximate) age and sex pretty accurately right away, AG. Your person translates well over the Internet.
I had no problem with Anna, unlike Jude, because I knew that was her actual name. She was either a girl or a really unlucky guy.
Some members who pop up occasionally I’m not sure about. And a specific example of a somewhat regular member would be Mimi. Not sure why, but I wasn’t sure about her gender until she was talking about some guy she liked. A dance was involved I believe?
I’ve been pretty good about it otherwise!

I never give anyone’s gender a minutes thought as i couldn’t care less. Male, female – heck you can be a wombat as long as you are polite & respectful.

@Ahhh Girl:
Believe you me, I don’t know, I can’t remember when or how, I was lost in my own mental universe, as I usually am, living in my own private Idaho.

Confession time (and I might have said this before, but I think the mods edited it out): I love zombie movies. Not only the ones made with a big budget (like the Resident Evil saga, or World War Z with Brad Pitt), but the cheapest, most awfully shot low-budget ones. There is something in that kind of movie that attracts me like no other genre does. I have seen the four adaptations of Richard Matheson’s I Am Legend (the 1964 first one with Vincent Price is the best) and hope there is a fifth. I identify, I think, with the lonely survivors (or one single survivor) surrounded by half-dead half-alive creatures with no intellect driven by sheer hunger.
But what is worse, much worse, is that… (oh Gawd, do I dare say it? It’s… I have no words for it) Well, you see, sometimes (sometimes) I watch Jennifer Aniston movies. And sometimes I like them!

I could say the same, @Oudis, but my last sentence would be And sometimes I like her!

I feel like I have a similar confession. I enjoy Adam Sandler movies!
There’s always mindless humor and they’re fun to watch with people. Just stupid enough to enjoy, and if you’re expecting simple humor they never let you down. And the movie Just Go With It (which was Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston!) had about a million Police songs in it!
There… I confessed it!

Hey, Kite, I was in an Adam Sandler movie: Punch Drunk Love. We happened to be in Hawaii and they were filming the movie at our hotel. We heard they were going to be shooting a scene in the outdoor bar, so we staged up there early in the evening, and sure enough, an Asst. Director came around and said we could be in the scene, but not to stare at the camera. You can see us sitting at a table for 3 microseconds as the camera sweeps by to focus on Adam and Emily Watson having a drink by a railing, looking at the sunset and Diamond Head.
It is an unusual movie for Sandler–more weird and fluky than funny. I have to say his more recent movies are pretty much crap.
