I just saw Brian Wilson for the Pet Sounds 50th anniversary tour. It was so good. Definetly one of the best shows I’ve ever been to.

I’d like to talk about my first concert. It was Queen at the Madison Square Garden on their News Of The World Tour. I was 10 and my parents used to go out with my friends parents on the first Thursday of the month from 6 to 12. What do you know, Queen was playing near us that day. So the two of us, 10 and 11 at the time, decided to do some odd jobs around the neighborhood to get 2 concert tickets, bus money, along with some extra money for stuff like popcorn and drinks. So when my parents left, I snuck out of the house, went over to my friends house, got him, got onto the bus, and handed the guy our tickets and damn, was it one hell of a show or what. I mean, holy s**t, Queen gives out one hell of a performance. If you thought they were great in the studio, they’re even better live. The best part was that we got to have Burger King after the show, got home before our parents came back at around midnight, and we got away with it and were bragging about it at school for an entire week. They were right when they said We Will Rock You, because they rocked us.

Jealous of pretty much everyone on this thread.
The closest thing I consider a concert was some stupid local summer festival thingie about two years ago which I got dragged along for two days, all just so my Dad could see some ska band. I was bored to tears because it was hot and there were toddlers in your face every 20 seconds. I plan to go to a concert on my own as soon as I leave school.

I’ve been to exactly one and that was George Winston in December 2011. T’was brilliant.
Make that exactly two, as I went to see him again on the 21st of March. ‘Twas brillianter!

I went to see Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience on Sunday, and IT WAS AWESOME!
They sounded incredibly similar to Led Zep, and they even played Thank You (one of my favourites).
It was super loud, but I brought a pair of those big earmuffs like the ones construction workers use around loud machines, so I was fine.
Jason talked about his dad a bit, and showed some cool footage and pictures of John as a little one that were completely new to me! He was mentioning how he didn’t really view his dad as a famous rock star, and that he was always simply his dad. “It wasn’t like he was in the Beatles or something!”
Overall, I had a spectacular time!!! Wouldn’t have traded it for the world!!!!

That’s so good to hear! Will be seeing him on the 3rd of July.
Saw him at the Primavera Festival last year and he played Pet Sounds in its entirety; incredible is an understatement!
It’s not a concert i’ve been to yet, but I managed to snag tickets this morning to see Arcade Fire at an intimate gig in Scunthorpe on the 7th June. It’s only a 1,000 capacity venue and roughly an hours drive away!

Saw Dead & Company tonight. Really great show. One of my favorite bass players Oteil Burbridge with Kreutzman, Hart, and Bob Wier. Of course John Mayer does an excellent job emulating Jerry Garcia’s guitar playing as well. I highly recommend any fan of the Dead seeing them when they come around.
