…that’s all I can think of right now. Later this year I’ll be seeing two more artists: Laetitia Sadier, and Weird Al Yankovic.
I’m not sure whether I saw Tiny Tim perform, but he came to the house where I was living in 1993 or 1994 and I got to meet him.

Searching my (ever decreasing) memory bank. The very first was Cheap Trick. After that, in no particular order, The Allman Brothers Band (at least a dozen times), Judas Priest, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Steve Miller, Rush, Triumph, Ozzie Osbourne, Deep Purple, UFO, Foghat, 38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Marshall Tucker, Charlie Daniels, The Outlaws (can you tell I was into Southern Rock in my teens?), The Scorpions, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Santana, Grateful Dead, Rainbow, Pat Travers, Pat Benatar, The Cult, Blue Oyster Cult, and B.B. King.
I’m sure I’ve forgotten more…to be continued.
Just now remembering Blackfoot, Henry Paul Band, Ted Nugent and Krokus. Also, in 2014, I saw Ringo and Paul.

Jealous of some of the bands here. Obviously the Beatles/Macca but Costello/Squeeze/Genesis would have been great also. I would like to have seen Floyd too.
Only two for me. In 1976 my new girlfriend (17) and I had zero money so I took her on my bike to the Queen free concert in Hyde park. We couldn’t get anywhere near the front so we climbed a tree (you can see us on the video!) and although we were so far away and they were about the size of a phone screen it didn’t matter to us they were fantastic! The other one was Pulp at the Reading festival in one of their last live performances. Absolutely brilliant! Still married to the same girl, still playing the same old stuff 🙂 She doesn’t like the Beatles though. Divorce?

I remember first seeing her cleaning the underneath of her little Yamaha, all oily she was. I was only 18 but I’d never met a girl like that. Blonde hair, blue eyes, not frightened of oil. What else is there? 😉 She’s always been there for me in the intervening 37 years. Mind you I do have to put up with Celine Dion, Mika and Lily Allen! Divorce?

Lila Allen’s ‘Its Not Me, Its You’ album is good tho ‘F**k You’ is so unintentionally funny; sounds like a 13 year old trying to be tough without all his mates around. No positives for Celine Dion however and i have no idea what Mika sings tho i have heard of him.
My list of concerts:
The Rolling Stones
Delirious/Tim Hughes
The Rolling Stones were a right bore. All i can remember is having to put up with material i’d never heard or liked and a Keith Richard solo that seemed to not only stop time but piss it off so much it started beating me to death.

Am I wrong in remembering, @Beatlebug, that you were recently at a small, very exclusive concert? You may have been the performer, but you were still there! (And if you ever find a way to give us access of audio of you performing, we’d all love to hear it!)

I’ve seen most of the old lot……But not The Who….Kinks……or Beatles. Big gaps there!!
But Stones……Hendrix…..Clapton ………Zep…..and many others
Interestingly today is the 30th anniversary of ‘Live Aid’
I was sat in front of the TV with VCR at the ready. Patio doors open to the garden to escape the bands I disliked. Amongst that list were Queen who i just never took seriously.
When they came on in the evening I watched but stopped my video recording. “Don’t want this stuff!”
5 mins later I was won over and rushed to the record button to correct my mis judgement……… In its way that’s my stand out memory of a wonderful concert
