Wow. Doesn't snow much in Nicaragua, then?
(that is where you live, right?)
It will never snow there! haha. Unless a disaster happens and the temperature gets all wrong etc. But in December gets really “cold” right now is like 79 degrees (Fahrenheit) it's normally 90-something degrees.
Right now I'm in San Francisco but it doesn't snow here either so, just when I travel to the mountains I see snow.
(About christmas:) We just decorate the tree, house and the gifts of course. I think we eat chicken andd we watch nothing special I think… Don't want to ruin your christmas spirit though! I hope it'll be kind of different this year

Please! Tell me what you think! and I hope you won't laugh haha.

Actually I have never seen snow, I don't like cold either…..
Well we start celebrating Christmas as soon as December arrive. Yesterday I spent all day cleaning windows, washing curtains, dusting my living room and setting up my Christmas tree because an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is visiting us today. There's an image from our neighborhood's church that is taken to different houses before her day that's on December 12th, and every day a rosary is prayed. We invited our guests tamales, atole and cookies.
Then we have the Posadas, parties before Xmas. It's nice, we have piñatas and Mexican food. And then on Christmas Eve we have the traditional Cena de Navidad, this year is going to be in one of my sister's house, and in the morning of Christmas I watch Ben-Hur and I spend time playing with my Dad or watching movies.
And we eat a lot, but this year I'm watching out my weight so…
Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……
Something in the way she moves…..attracts me like a cauliflower…
Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.
Beware of Darkness…

My local classic rock radio station is celebrating Christmas Day by playing only Beatles and, I think, solo Beatles music.
Apparently, John was wrong…they're not bigger than Jesus, they ARE Jesus!
“Have a Merry Beatlemas” has a nice ring to it…
In all seriousness, though, what a great idea.
Definitely my favorite of the local stations now.

Ours did Beatles A to Z at Thanksgiving. It was cool, but all the songs were not in the order I am used to. After “It Won't Be Long”, I started belting out “All I've Got To Do” when “It's All Too Much” started playing!
It's one of the very few times when being hardcore was a disadvantage.
Enjoy!

As movies were brought up earlier, what’s everyone’s all time desert island Christmas movie? For me, it has to be Miracle on 34th Street. I watched that on Christmas Eve for about 11 straight years, and then me and my brother got sick of it… but I’m making sure it gets played this year.

Die Hard.
You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

Every year, Joe's donning the Fabs with Santa hats on the banner puts me in the Christmas spirit. So here is my gift to the Forum (the receipt is included in case it's not your size). One two three fawh!
Deck the Fabs with hats of Santa,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Post some vids with Beatles banter,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Play me songs from A Hard Day’s Night,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Wishing for “Carnival Of Light ”,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
See Paul sing “Hey Jude” before us,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Watch John sing “I Am The Walrus”.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
George is now singing “Long, Long, Long”,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Love Ringo’s “Don’t Pass Me By” song,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Fast approaching is Christmas Day,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Can’t decide which album to play,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I’ll decide before the day ends,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
With A Little Help From My Friends,
Ob La Di Bla Da La La La Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Zig – it put a smile on my face as normal. And, I am of the opinion that one great rewrite deserves another, even though it can’t top Zig’s. Band, Neil Young’s Everybody Knows this is Nowhere:
I think I’d like to go back home, and take it easy
There’s a woman that I’d like to get to know this Christmas
Everybody seems to wonder, what it’s like down here
I gotta get away from this day to day runnin’ around
Everybody knows this is Christmas
Everybody, everybody knows, everybody knows, oh yeah
Every time I think about back home, it’s cool and breezy
I wish that I could be there right now, just watching hockey
Everybody seems to wonder, what it’s like down here
I gotta get away from this day to day runnin’ around
Everybody knows this is Christmas
Everybody knows, everybody knows, everybody knows
Everybody, everybody knows,
Everybody knows, this is Christmas
Everybody knows, This is Christmas
Everyone always seems to be worried for the big day,
But me, I’ve got the BB to help me.
Thanks guys.

Thanks Zig, it truly means a lot to get a compliment from the master of the medium, as Capone is to crime, the tunesmith you are.
Alrhough Zig, you complicated my End of Year vote fir best rewrite. I was going to do the “Baby You’re A Rich Man ” from the Teddy Pepper thread, but this is so good. What to do?

Ok. The voting needs to be done soon (by the 25th december), i cant remember diddly squat about previous posts and voters that fit the categories, and dont have the time to go thru threads to get the answers. So if people could post accordingly that would be fantastic (i am in no way talking about bribes, hints or anything else that could be construed as manipulation).
And to give this post some meaning there is a 30 min documentary on BBC Radio 4 at 11:30am on 27th December (i presume it will be available on the bbc iplayer for 7 days shortly afterwards) called Beatles Christmas which looks at the beatles christmas messages, live shows and MMT. If anything it will hopefully give Apple something to think about in regards to officially releasing the messages. This will be the second year in a row that the Beatles christmas messages are highlighted to some degree (an edited version of The Beatle Christmas Record (1963) was made available on itunes last year for free download).

Yeah Into the Sky with Diamonds, I found that one by accident. A nice surprise, eh?
mmrm – great video, thanks. I also appreciate the news about the upcoming BBC Radio special. I hope to be able to hear it.
Sun King – thanks for the nice words about the rewrites. I have a lot of fun throwing them together.
