Good on your grandparents – they will certainly know what to look for and where to find it!
Hope you enjoy your Christmas treasures!

Hope everyone has had a festive and restful Christmas. Mine was pretty laid-back, I think I’ve earned it after grinding at work for the last two-and-a-half months.
My friend gave me some pins, including:
He also gave me a bunch of CDs, including Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1, but I already have it so he said his mother wanted a copy so I’ll give it to her
My dearest Christmas wish would be for the Beatles Christmas records to be widely available and streaming and whatnot, but that’s probably a flaming pie-in-the-sky
Speaking of Flaming Pie , though, I did listen to it while I was cooking dinner, and I firmly believe it helped make the food taste better.

Damn, that’s the life!
Here it’s atypically mild for late December, several degrees above freezing, drizzly, and everything’s ugly green-brown muddy grass and a few small remaining (and shrinking) brown crusted snowpiles accumulated from November through about two weeks ago – which was basically the last time it snowed here, and we usually get a lot. Nothing fallen since then but a stray flake or two, and uncountable billions of raindrops. (Not many hours of sun, even, either) Far from the white Xmas I’d hoped for – those brilliantly lit houses having nothing on the ground to reflect upon after dark – but on the bright side, happily made it easier and safer for Von Cousin #5 and his wife to make the six-hour drive here, straight up north through the bulk of Michigan (crossing the border twice) for a fine two day visit with myself and Vonsister, and her household.
Anyways, Merry Boxing Day! Gonna celebrate by watching this today, and put up with the handful of moments I find excruciating (magicians, Paul’s line readings)

I had a great Christmas. I spent the 25th with my parents and my brother at home. My grandparents and my sister came to visit us that day. On Boxing Day, we relaxed at home before we went to Stratford-Upon-Avon on 27th and saw my other grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins.
I received ‘Love Me Do ‘ socks and got The Beatles Bitesize Trivial Pursuit as a family present. My Dad got ‘The Little Book Of The Beatles’, which is an unofficial publication with Fab Four quotes from a friend.

I’m going back home after my holiday tomorrow, been in New Zealand for about two weeks. Ready for it, to be honest. I have one week before I go back to work then. Time to listen to a lot of Beatles! I’ve been without music all this time.

All the slow ray roundabout, deep and crisp and crispy
Brightly shone the boot that night, tho’ the winter cruuuuuel
When a pork-pie came in sight, gath’ring winter gruuuuuuel
