^ oof >.<
The cat likes to hide underneath our tree (there’s a very fuzzy rug underneath) and knock off all the low-hanging ornaments. For some reason we never remember not to put the breakable ones down low but that’s not nearly as bad and I hope you can fix it
edit: oh wow, I hadn’t had a Fiddy in a while…

The Daily Express have reported that the Top 10 most streamed Christmas songs in 2018 (between 9 November and 28 December) on Spotify were:
John and Paul are there at eight and nine, with John taking the honours by roughly two-and-a-half million.

Where on earth is the Fairytale of New York?
It’s probably been excluded due to the inexcusable and deeply offensive lyrics. Same as the exclusion of ‘White Christmas’ and ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’.
They’ve also been streaming the wrong version of ‘Let It Snow x3’; Dean Martin’s is vastly superior to Frank Sinatra’s. And where’s ‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reggae’?

Well, my family got a Christmas tree the other day. We spent the night decorating it and such; I added a few self made Beatles ornaments (pieces of paper I cut out, I’m lazy). Anyway, at about 1:00 in the morning the tree falls over, breaking half the ornaments with it. Eventually we cleaned it up, and since the tree can’t seem to stand by itself, it is now propped up against the wall, one side flattened from where it fell.Next year, we’re getting a fake tree.
Our tree fell over one year, right before our eyes. Turned out, it wasn’t anchored deeply enough into the tree stand. Lost so many cherished ornaments that year
Yesterday evening we drove all over the county to find a Christmas tree stand, and finally found a little mom-and-pop stand in the next town. It was rather fun. We still have yet to decorate it, we’ve been busy, but we might make some Yellow Sub ornaments… stay tuned

Nothing symbolises the waste of fast/throwaway fashion more than the Chrimble jumper. You wouldn’t be seen dead in it in January, even with six foot of snow outside. Couple of outings in December, and you’ll get a new one next year.
Boycott Chrimble jumpers, they’re helping destroy the world…

Both of my 5 year old Christmas jumpers would like a word with you RN, they are unimpressed with your assertion 😉 .
Just a general off-topic question: Who are these people constantly buying new clothes?? The dress I was wearing today which cost me about €35 must be at least 4 years old now. You can get good quality clothes at a relatively cheap price if you just take care of them properly (in comparison to the false economy crap you get from Primark where it’s only €7 but it’ll last you a month).
Even Zara which is like the Queen of Fast Fashion, my winter jacket I got from there which I wear every day from about October to April (it’s cold here) would be about 3 years old and still looks only very mildly tatty.

I have like half a dozen shirts I got cheap from thrifts shops which I love and wear religiously, recombining them with the other choice pieces in my closet for endless combinations. I don’t know who buys new clothes every season either.
Never had a tacky Christmas sweater though, I prefer to gloriously overdo tartans and plaids.

Same. I wear nice-looking, cozy sweaters but I’ve never owned a tacky sweater.
I rely on relatives or my mom to gift me new clothes; otherwise, my wardrobe is made up of t-shirts that I’ve gotten from school events, work events, Drama Club, etc combined with jeans/overalls/sometimes sweatpants and my letterman jacket. Maybe throw a hoodie in there or a nice sweater when winter rolls around.
