Merry Christmas (soon) everyone!
my tradition is getting a fluffy tree, watching that old Rudolph the Red Nosed Reminder Movie, sitting in front of the fire and trying to not be cold.
Also, I convinced my teacher to play War is Over in class. Success.
Edit: Yes. I see the mistake. I’m leaving it.

Merry Christmas (and Hanukkah, Kwanza, etc.) to you all. My favorite traditions are watching Elf (the BEST Christmas movie ever) and having cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning.

After hearing it twice today (once was a cover) I have reached the definite conclusion that Wonderful Christmastime is officially the best Christmas song out there. (Sorry John)

No problem with that at all, @50yearslate. It may not be a popular opinion but…

This is going to be my Official Christmas Song for this holiday season — it’s not really a Christmas song but I just love the wintry atmosphere of it:
The Beatley ones get played every year without fail, of course.

I’m having four different Christmas chorus concerts all around town, starting this Friday. Yay! One of my favourite holiday activities.

I wonder if any of us will get one of these Lennon-McCartney coloring books for Christmas.

Do those of you who draw like to color in coloring books too?

I NEED THAT
I’d probably never use it because I am very bad at art, but it would be a good thing to have and just look at every once in a while.
I’m hoping to get some Beatley stuff for Christmas… Hanukkah is almost over and I still haven’t gotten any Beatles stuff

Nope, can’t stand it, and never have. Always preferred to create my own drawings to colour. The only time I enjoy colouring in is if it’s my wizard-friend’s art.
Those colouring books look terribly cool for those who enjoy it, though.

I just froze my tail off singing songs the rest of the chorus hadn’t bothered to memorize.

After leaving highschool there are significantly less Christmas choir concerts. I did so many for so long its great to not have to do them anymore, but I do still miss them. Either way i’m already obligated for 3 different singing performances without being in a choir.

Of note, John & Yoko’s Happy Xmas (War Is Over) is at #29 while Paul’s Wonderful Christmastime is at #35.

Disagree. Some of Christmas is healthy.
Easter on the other hand…
Which leads me to a (slightly bizarre) question. What is the healthiest thing that will be on your Christmas table in a few days?
For us it will be a garden salad

We always have mashed sweet potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans and brussels sprouts at every family holiday. So probably those.

We always have Brussels sprouts as well. I personally dislike them, but my mom likes them, so that’s that
Doesn’t mean I have to eat any, though…

It could just be how your family makes them. I used to hate brussels sprouts because my great-grandma boils them. But then I had them grilled at a barbecue and my perception changed. Now they’re one of my fave things to eat.

My brussels will be shredded, tossed in a frying pan with onions, couple of crushed garlic cloves and smoked bacon lardons in garlic butter until onions are nicely caramelising, squeeze of lemon over the top.
