@Zig. What’s the first?
It’s about a less than permanent office worker. I can’t even bring myself to type the title. If I could afford it, I would keep someone on retainer to follow me around for the rest of my life, ready to scrape their finger nails across a chalkboard whenever I am within 100 miles of someone playing that steaming pile of chinchilla excrement* thereby cleansing my ears of that dreadful piece of garbage*.
*My apologies to steaming piles of chinchilla excrement and dreadful pieces of garbage for comparing both to whatever it is that Paul thought he was doing during a period of incredibly bad judgement. After all, this is a Christmas thread. I should forgive Paul for his momentary lapse of taste. But come on. He started it. It’s the only time I seriously considered the possibility that he really was dead. Yeah, it’s that horrid.
@Zig told us which Paul song is his most reviled in this post: https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..6/#p244578
I agreed wholeheartedly with him in the next post.

Nappy Dimble to wart and all!
The oven is heating up ready to go. Three-bird will go in at about 10. Various veggies go in at different times following, with gravy using a chicken stock done at about noon.
Deciding which of my three boxes of chocolatey treats to open first (which answers that query @AppleScruffJunior) , while drinking coffee topped with a salted caramel rum coffee liqueur. Start the day easy I say.
Virtually replaced all my dining and cooking stuff as a present to myself, along with a 1TB Freeview recorder (also gives me HD channels for the 1st time, though I’m not sure I see much difference).
May your holidays be enjoyable, if you are having them, and for whatever reason!
Garry Mimble to you all…

^So, so, so, so, so, so much agree with you on your most reviled Macca song, @Zig. How on earth can Nancy like it?!?!?!?!?Oops, the mods need to
I agree, temp sec isn’t a very good song per se…but again I appreciate what he was doing synthwise. The way Paul programmed a sequence to be (I think) deliberately tuneless and kinda atonal I thought was a fairly bold decision by a relentlessly tuneful composer. He really seemed to be having fun with those Prophet Vs and whatnot he bought himself around the turn of the decade

Silly Girl is a Happy Girl, for she got
- The Beatles – Revolver (Capitol, vinyl) — missing three of my favourite tracks but grand nonetheless
- George Harrison – All Things Must Pass (CD)
- Muse – Black Holes And Revelations (CD)
- Some nice metallic coloured pencils
- Nuts and chocolate
- The joy of seeing Silly Mum’s and Dad’s faces when presented with their handsome new hats
Now listening to ATMP — ECSTATIC!

^ Indeed it is. It’s in pretty worn condition, and has ‘C. Crowe’ written on a very yellowed piece of masking tape on the label of side 1.

OMG could that be legendary teenage Rolling Stone journalist turned Oscar nominated film writer director Cameron Crowe?!? Himself? That could be an even more amazing artifact than it already is!

…I imagine that several ‘biblers would’ve seen his “Almost Famous” solely because of the not-a-groupie character who rechristens herself “Penny Lane “

I should probably get around to watching that movie myself. I keep telling myself I need to watch more movies but I never do. Anyway, very cool Revolver @Beatlebug!
I have an American copy as well, and it seems to have some water damage on the back.
Also, I finally got the 1+ BluRay!

It’s pretty good, especially if you appreciate the era…but it annoyed me that “Sweetwater” didn’t sound much like a real typical 70’s band at all. Too drift and moped and Pearl Jammy or somethin. And I don’t think they were intentionally meant to sound 20 yrs ahead of their time…mebbe it was a marketing decision?
Anyway, stay on topic…Merry krimble!

I thought I’d use this forum to discuss what I got for Christmas. Since I’m turning 50 on the 5th, I didn’t get as much gifts as you youngsters, but I still got some nice stuff. First, from my friend, I got The Beatles Gear. Although I think books are stupid and are reserved for losers, there are 2 exceptions to that rule, comic books and books about The Beatles, specifically ones about their guitars and now I can legally read this book and I love it. From my other friend, I got $20, nice and simple. From sgtpepper63, I got a bottle of Jack. Liquor may not be the most pleasant present, but it will help me get through those moments when Don’t Stop Belevin is on the radio for the 1,234,567,890th time. I saved the best for last, my mother gave me my childhood toys and records back to me.
Maybe you should try posting more.

I wouldn’t be without, at least, a roomful of books. My world would be so much poorer without a good book at hand…
