Except mine is a turduckoo! (The “…oo” from the present goose rather then the “…en” from the absent chicken.)

I repeat, not a single chicken was harmed in the creation of my turduckoo…
A turkey, yes!
A duck, yes!
A goose, yes!
No chicken. A chicken free zone. My dinner plate will not see any chicken on St. Nicolas Day!

I’m attempting to beat @Beatlebug’s high score of 4. So far I’ve only got 3.

How do you thank more than once?
You have to click the thank button multiple times before the page it acknowledges that you thanked the post. However it has to be at the right speed. Just experiment with spamming the thank button on a few posts. It’s really difficult. I only am able to get more than one about 40% of the time, and I’ve only got 3 a couple of times. The most I’ve seen was 4, and that was once, it was @Beatlebug a couple of days ago. It’s really just a glitch that shouldn’t exist, but it does, so why not have fun with it.

Do you have to thank fast or slow?
It’s sort of a medium speed thats more on the fast side. It isn’t easy. You have to thank in between the site receiving your original thanks, and acknowledging it.

My Chrimbo food shop is now done and dusted.Got myself a three-bird (duck inside goose inside turkey) for 6. After the little that’ll go on my Chrumble Day dinner plate, the rest will end up in the new stock pot I hope I’ve bought myself for Crumbo, along with any leftover veg, for a stew to last until the New Year.
Walked out of Tesco having spent £330-ish. But that included about £80 of DVD’s I’m hoping for on the big day, about 15 on my monthly music mags, and probably just over a hundred on al-key-hole to keep me going into January.
The plan is to not need to go out after tomorrow if possible, especially as our second named storm of the season, Storm Barbara (makes me giggle for some reason), hits us tomorrow night.
Huddle up warm and cosy indoors for a few days I think.
But RN, did you buy/be a tin of sweets? That is the question.
Mam bought a three-bird roast years ago, it was alright I think but she’s gone back to turkey since then (I think one year we had goose ooooh la di da).

Enjoy your ducgooskey. I hope you listened to yourself when you sat on your lap to whisper in your ear “I want a new stock pot”. Your plan to brace against the storm with movies, mags and moonshine sounds solid. Barbara doesn’t stand a chance.

And before you ask, I have no idea how that happened. Usually I can only thank once, occasionally twice. Of anyone, @WeepingAtlasCedars is our champion of multi-thankers, routinely thanking twice and often three times.
Successfully thanked that post twice

Now that I am off work for the holiday, it really feels like Christmas. I’ve had warm fuzzy feelings while decorating the house and shopping for my family and friends. But upon going back to work where it has been incredibly crazy-busy, my soul just wasn’t feeling it. Including today, I am off for 4 glorious days. Zag is working today, but from home, so we are together. Once she is done we will go grab a bite to eat and have a few drinks and revel with the locals at the neighborhood bar. Tomorrow, we will go visit Zag’s sister, pick up last-minute provisions on the way home and then chill for the rest of the day/evening watching Christmas movies. On the big day, we will exchange gifts, go to the stables to give Indy his presents and visit with our fellow equine enthusiasts. Then, we come home for our favorite brunch. After that, we will spend the day enjoying our gifts and each other while watching my all time favorite Christmas movie (hint: “You’ll shoot your eye out!”). A nice ham dinner will warm the innards, followed by an evening of sipping on my friend’s homemade Christmas punch (she doesn’t tell me what’s in it and I don’t ask). Overall, we will be spending time with loved ones and dear friends spreading joy and cheer. Yeah – it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.
I LOVE CHRISTMAS
