There is a local station that is playing nothing but Christmas music. They have a giveaway contest for which you must be the 9th caller to respond once the song is over. The 9th caller gets 98 dollars (yes, the station is 98 on your FM dial). I hear that song far too often. It’s probably just me, but I think that is the second worst song Paul ever recorded. Utter dreck.

You should check out some of the other songs on their Christmas album. There’s “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer” to the tune of “I Saw Her Standing There “, “Hark The Herold Angels Sing” to the tune of “Help “, and a bunch of others

It’s about a less than permanent office worker. I can’t even bring myself to type the title. If I could afford it, I would keep someone on retainer to follow me around for the rest of my life, ready to scrape their finger nails across a chalkboard whenever I am within 100 miles of someone playing that steaming pile of chinchilla excrement* thereby cleansing my ears of that dreadful piece of garbage*.
*My apologies to steaming piles of chinchilla excrement and dreadful pieces of garbage for comparing both to whatever it is that Paul thought he was doing during a period of incredibly bad judgement. After all, this is a Christmas thread. I should forgive Paul for his momentary lapse of taste. But come on. He started it. Offline My Chrimbo food shop is now done and dusted.
Got myself a three-bird (duck inside goose inside turkey) for 6. After the little that’ll go on my Chrumble Day dinner plate, the rest will end up in the new stock pot I hope I’ve bought myself for Crumbo, along with any leftover veg, for a stew to last until the New Year.
Walked out of Tesco having spent £330-ish. But that included about £80 of DVD’s I’m hoping for on the big day, about 15 on my monthly music mags, and probably just over a hundred on al-key-hole to keep me going into January.
The plan is to not need to go out after tomorrow if possible, especially as our second named storm of the season, Storm Barbara (makes me giggle for some reason), hits us tomorrow night.
Huddle up warm and cosy indoors for a few days I think.
