Beatles relatead, I got a A Hard Day’s Night t-shirt (my first one *Imagine there’s a smiling Paul, it’s easy if you try*) and three notebooks.
Non-Beatley, I got an Xbox 360, a pair of headphones, some chocolate and a pair of sandals.

I got the Long Tall Sally EP that is for Record Store day. Tickets to see Rain (That one Beatles Tribute band), A Bob Dylan Box Set, A Huge Beatles Picture (Not a Poster), a Record Player (Also plays Cassettes, CDs, and you can plug your Ipod/MP3 Into it), A Leather Jacket and a lot of other things
I Think that Rolling Stone should do a cover story of The Rolling Stones covering "Like a Rolling Stone" or if a Type of Beetle was named after The Beatles.

I got the Long Tall Sally EP as well, thanks to some incredible generosity. By the way, I would check out that record player online because it sounds like it’s one that could possibly damage your records in the long run.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Mine was (as) great (as visiting family can be)!
As for gifts, I got two Beatles calendars. One is the same as the one @Ahhh Girl got, the other came in a box (a Collectors Edition it says) and each month is a US album. The cover is Beatles VI and it looks like a record.
I got an iTunes card which I used to purchase Anthology 2 .
The mono vinyl of Help !
And as far as Beatley gifts that’s pretty much it except for a Beatles ukulele chord book I bought myself along with a uke!
I also got Stephen King’s It and some nice over ear headphones that will aid me quite well in recording/mixing.
Sadly, Pattie wasn’t under the tree…

I got no Beatley things unless you count Chris O’Dell’s autobiography as one? I got loads of books, 16 in fact and 5 DVDs. For all those who are interested (I imagine there’s loads of you):
Books:
Collection Franz Kafka’s best
All of Oscar Wilde’s work
The Greedy B*****d Tour Diary- Eric Idle
Michael Palin’s 1st and 2nd diaries
Graham Chapman’s autobiography
Burial Rites- Hannah Kent
A Woman in Berlin- Anonymous
Make Room, Make Room- Harry Harrison
Eric Clapton’s autobiography
Cloud Atlas- David Mitchell
Junky- William S. Burroughs
Shadow of the Titanic: Extraordinary tales of those who survived- Andrew Wilson
Titanic Survivor: The memoirs of Victoria Jessop
The Housekeeper and the Professor- Yoko Ogawa
I’ve finished Idle’s diary and I’m halfway through Burial Rites which is excellent. All my DVDs were Monty Python- nothing that interesting.

Well, the authors have got Beatley names.
I am thinking of reading The Trial by Franz Kafka once my exams get over.

What did you guys get? Any good Beatle-y things? Non-Beatley?
Looks like everyone had a nice holiday. Our day was spent entertaining my sister-in-law and her family. A fun bunch to be sure. We ate and drank entirely too much and laughed a lot. Overall a great day. As for Beatley loot, Mrs. Claus graced me with two books (The Beatles Lyrics by Hunter Davies and The Beatles: The BBC Archives: 1962-1970 by Ken Howlett), two DVD’s (The Beatles – The First U.S. Visit and The 4 Complete Ed Sullivan Shows Starring The Beatles) and two CD’s (the remastered Wings At The Speed Of Sound and the deluxe edition of Venus And Mars ). Much to my surprise, I received no 2015 Beatles calendars. I’ll have to pony up and get my own with one of the Amazon gift cards I got. @Mr. Kite – I had my eye on that “collectors” calendar with Beatles VI on the cover. Is it as nice as it looks?

@Zig Sounds like a great time!
As far as calendars go, it’s great. Like I said upthread it comes in a box. It’s a grey box, with a thin paper band around it with The Beatles on it, that’s too thick for a calendar and opens at the top, and then there’s a foam piece and the calendar inside. Like I also said upthread it looks almost exactly like a record, and is shrink wrapped as such. I haven’t opened it, but each page is a US album and the bottom is a normal calendar layout with a part of a picture of a vinyl sticking out from beneath it.
And there’s your written unboxing of a calendar! If you need more information you know how to contact me.
How’s the BBC book? I’ve seen that around and love the little facsimile things.

I haven’t opened it yet. I’ll check it out when I’ve finished reading Davies’ book.
Thanks for the written unboxing of the calendar.
