Mom gave it to me. :-) I will ask her in the morning (she is off in la-la land now), and edit this post to let you know.

EDIT: Here’s the one she got me. I see that there is a gray one out there, too.

Happy Christmas everyone! Hope next year is all you want it to be (and more!). Love and look after yourselves :)

Now, as this is the only day I’m happy to allow myself utter indulgence, I’m going to hunt that box of mince pies out…

I’m actually being really good this year, and it’s not even hard. All I’ve had is my usual muesli for breakfast, and my (small portion) xmas dinner: quorn meat, stuffing, veg and christmas pudding.

What are you getting up to today, mmm?

Good to here you are eating well today Emily, most folks eat their own weight in garbage over the 3 days. Did you ever find the mince pies?

I am home alone this morning and afternoon (well Dog is here as are the cat’s, it’s nice and very peaceful) and then with some of the family for the evening. I’ve learned over the years that Christmas Day will blow big time if i do it differently – better to do things in small quantities than one big dollop and end up wanting it all over with by 12pm or dread the whole thing coming.

I’m so far into the Christmas spirit that a ‘Best of Frank Sinatra’ is playing with no Christmas songs; love the line “Your looks are laughable, Unphotographable, Yet you’re my favourite work of art” from My Funny Valentine – you’re a bit of a ugger but i love you.

Don’t know if folks have seen these, there are quite a few if you go into youtube and check out the uploader’s channel.

Good afternoon y’all decided to say ‘hello’ as the house is quiet and my brother has taken over the telly. Santa has been good again and here is what I got :D

(All DVDs):

A Hard Day’s Night

HELP!

Concert for Bangladesh

Concert for George

Backbeat

(CD’s)

Brainwashed

LOVE

I listened to LOVE this morning and Brainwashed is playing ATM, while my brother is playing Resident Evil: Zero. Once again my family has cooked more then is needed and I was stuffed after eating half of what was on my plate, the food was very good it was just too much, I couldn’t even eat dessert a-hard-days-night-john-2 (First world problem, eh?) I also want to watch Harry Potter but my brother is on the Wii paul-mccartney My Granddad has brought my eldest brother out to practice his driving so I can’t go to his house either (looks like I’m stuck at home for another hour blue-meanie)

For Beatlely Christmas items I got The Fifth Beatle graphic (from my husband) novel and Revolver (my parents).

My in-laws gave me money, so maybe more Beatley things. :D For my birthday earlier this month I got both Live At The BBC cds and Introducing The Beatles on vinyl. It’s been a very Beatley month for me. a-hard-days-night-john-1heart

I did find the mince pies, but I decided not to have one because dinner wasn’t that far away. I know some people just go absolutely mad at Christmas (when we used to do parties, I’d see people with three or four different slices of cake on their plate – I know it’s a free party but don’t take the p***), but I don’t see the point in stuffing yourself silly just ‘because it’s Christmas’.

Good to hear you had a nice, peaceful day, and then with some of your family in the evening.

mmm, I finally found a moment to watch the Beatles Christmas Special 2012 you posted. It’s a hoot.

Nice presents, ASJ and sky999.

Re:Christmas food and eating – Somehow in the shuffle at Christmas lunch yesterday, I ended up with a small plate. I didn’t notice until I looked around and saw that everyone else had a regular sized plate. I already had my food on the plate, and it was full. I got full on what I had on that small plate. I use the smaller sized plates all year so I guess that’s why it didn’t dawn on me at first. Yay, me! Smaller portions of everything for Christmas also. I’d didn’t feel miserable after the meal. I shall remember this experience in Christmases to come.

Good on you AG.

To all who ate responsibly have an apple01.

I ate less than many christmas’s before, still got ill tho as the food at the hotel my family were staying in was not good – you could taste the flour but not the cheese in the Macaroni Cheese.a-hard-days-night-paul-3

I’ve learned to pace myself when it has comes to Thanksgiving and Christmas in recent years. I either celebrate Thanksgiving in 2 or 3 parts and the same with Christmas. This is due to family qualms usually. I use to eat too much at the first house and very little at the next house. I would have left overs for days because there was so food and I was so full. I’ve learn to get small plates or don’t shovel the food all down at once. So, now I laugh like this year when I see people on my facebook complaining about being sick after Thanksgiving. Pace yourselves guys! It will save you in the long run.

I had a traditional Christmas – vegan Chinese food Christmas Eve with friends and meaty Chinese food on Christmas with a different set of friends, followed by a trip to Beard Papa’s in an area of town known as Little Osaka and an impromptu Game Night.

A very fun day.
