Our holidays are meant to start on the 18th, but because we don't do anything at all at school for the last few days (hence the playing Beatles monopoly yesterday), everyone starts holidays a bit early. We go back on the 7th (I think) of Feb.
I'd like to be, under the sea, in an octopus's garden, with you.

For them, it's summer right now. They are in the Southern Hemisphere, so they have summer while we freeze, and vice versa.
Oh, I know about how the seasons are different in the Southern Hemisphere. I just wondered if they have summer break when it's actually summer, or if they have a break in the middle of the year for the sake of matching us in the Northern Hemisphere.
I'm not sure if it actually matters what time — apparently it doesn't get that cold ANY time of year in Australia. Paulrus hasn't ever seen real snow before.
For me, the school year starts in late August. We have a bunch of three-day and four-day weekends for holidays, and we have a few week-long breaks for big holidays (like Spring Break or Winter Break). The school year ends in early June.
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

It does get cold (and snows heaps on a lot of mountains) in some places, just not as much here in Melbourne (where me and Paulrus live). Gets really hot in the middle of Summer though
