First of all, I wasn't sure who had written this. I just knew for a fact that none of our contributors would plug us on this website. Second, I had an idea who it was, so I wrote him an email and asked him to clarify his remarks, and, after he had done so, I still felt as though some things hadn't been covered to my satisfaction. Third, I wasn't looking to guilt trip him. I just want for him – and everyone else – to know that when someone asks if you're in a band, and you say, “I really wouldn't say it's my band exactly,” you're IMPLYING that it's your band, inexactly. And when you go on to talk about how you've “helped” with “songs,” these words carry a specific meaning in people's minds.
I'm not criticizing anyone for giving us a free plug. To the contrary, I am delighted that some people care enough about our music to bother. We're not a******s about letting people contribute to our project, either, but the automatic assumption on behalf of one of your administrators was to question whether the original poster was in the band, simply because he expressed an interest in such an outré venture. The ensuing conversation wherein MrBig asserted a direct affiliation with the band when none existed is reason enough for me to say what I did. In the future, however, I will be certain to use my personal email to communicate my displeasure with an already public discussion related to my work.
In brief, classy or not, stick it.

Yeah, people listen. I know this from experience: Don't f**k with Clayton Counts. He will win, EVERY TIME. Take this from me, I know best.

At the risk of fanning the flames further, I didn’t question it simply because he expressed an interest in your project. As an admin/site owner I take notice if it looks like people might be spamming – I don’t mind people plugging their stuff, but it helps to be transparent.
I made the connection not because he expressed an interest, but because MrBig’s left comments elsewhere on the site with the bullofheaven url attached to his name. When people do that I tend to assume it’s their site or there’s some affiliation. It doesn’t really make any difference to me though – it’s only a website.
Can buy me love! Please consider supporting the Beatles Bible on Amazon
Or buy my paperback/ebook! Riding So High – The Beatles and Drugs

I’m simply advertising it. I am in no way affiliated with Bull of Heaven. I’ll change it now.

I'm sorry Marcelo, I don't know what you mean by that.
Me neither…
No, I mean, very depressing thread.
I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.

Apology accepted.
I just spent three days uploading 75 Gigabytes that I now have to re-upload from scratch. THREE WHOLE DAYS of my life. I can't get those days back. What did you do yesterday? Eat a burrito? Climb a tree? Go swimming? Talk to a girl?
So am I talking to a celebrity or something?

I remember reading this thread and thinking ‘and somewhere, paulsbass is smiling.’
Post one to post ten or so is quite a wild ride, from Paul McCartney , to George Martin, to Billy Preston, to someone auditioning for Apple, and ultimately ending up as an Apple Scruff. How we love you.
I do miss Mr. Big though, I liked his posts, but I think it’s pretty ironic that the word “bull” is in this thread.
