@ewe2 the reason that the timing is all over the place is because I recorded the backing track (AKA rhythm guitar) in one take and you don’t want to do more than one take of an 11 minute song. As for why it’s 11 minutes long, I wanted a song where the first 2 minutes were with vocals and the rest of the song to be an extended instrumental. Also, parts of the song were thought up on the spot, all of the guitar solos except for the one during part I were pure improv, and parts II and III in their entirety were thought up on the spot.
As for rerecording the song, I might do a Strawberry Fields Forever and rerecord some of those parts and connect them with take 1 but I refuse to record part I again because it’s in time and I think it turned out well for a 1st take, but I might rerecord parts II-V with a drum machine or click track if anyone else requests it, as well as replace parts II and or III with something else. I do admit that I wish part IV had better timing and was longer and had electric guitars.
For the overloaded acoustic guitar trick, it’s a great trick, Keith Richards did it on Jumping Jack Flash. Another cool trick I like to do is record something in Audacity, reverse it, add reverb while it’s reversed, and reverse it again so it’s unreversed, it sounds really cool.
As for the lyrics, we need to decide whether or not we want to mention specific members, I’m fine either way but if we choose not, that means we only mention Joe because like Starr Shine? said, mods do change, just ask Ron Nasty, he’ll tell you, he used to be a mod.

I think as many people as possible should sing backing vocals.
I am currently unable to play the file – I’m at school. Slow internet.

I don’t think an 11-minute song with free-form instrumentals would be fitting for this forum. For the Pink Floyd form, yes but the majority of the Beatles songs were around 2 – 5 minutes with few exceptions.
I think 2 – 5 minutes should be the length of the song IMO but if others are fine with a long song, then it is ok.

Yeah I’m fine with part 1, it was the 12-bar that was a bit messy for me to play along to. Audacity has some neat plugins too, I use declipper all the time and I’ve had good results from the compression/delay ones.

Alright, tomorrow I will try to rerecord part IV, as well as possibly replace or remove parts II and III and improve upon part V. If I do remove parts II and III, I will extend parts IV and V, which would become II and III. I would love to do a Brian May style delay solo. As for the 2 of you that want to play bass, why not do what Paul did on Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da and play the bass and double it with an acoustic guitar, ewe2 can play the bass and TheBeatlesFanatic231 can play the acoustic guitar doubling the bass. Also, if anybody wants to do the B-side, they’re more than welcome to.

Maybe keep it to 7 minutes? That’s a good comprimise.
We could always have two basslines? Maybe put an effect on one?
Also, what key will this be in? The saxophone and the french horn aquire sharps very quickly (C major is G major for horns and A major for saxes), so preferably the less sharps, the better.
Who likes editing? If we have multiple people who really want to edit (I really want to), then maybe we could split the song into sections for different people to edit (similar to how they split up YKMNLUTN).
EDIT: the b-side could be the song I made in January: https://drive.google.com/open?…..1dvTndibzA

Listening to your demo, @Dark Overlord, and there’s a lot of hiss in places, which is something to factor in. We can get rid of hiss kind of easily, but something that would need to happen is to have a second of silence at the start of any overdub (and even the basic track) for that to happen. The electric guitar parts especially had a lot of hiss.
Also, 11 minutes was kinda long…
Overall though, I reckon this project has got real potential!

If need be I could do some editing.
When the song is completed, I could help work on a music video but that if way down the road.

The Hole Got Fixed, there are no electric guitars in the song, those are overloaded acoustic guitars that I overdrove and I then recorded my computer playing back the overdriven version, so the hiss there is unavoidable unless if redid that part with an actual electric guitar.

Well, there was so much hiss I presumed it was an electric guitar. We might have to do it on electric guitar, because there will be so many overdubs, we will get a fair bit of hiss anyway.

Audacity has a great noise reduction plugin, don’t fret. Or do fret, since you can’t get noise from a guitar if you don’t.

I was talking about that exact plugin earlier. But with that amount of hiss, it doesn’t work. (Trust me, I tried it on the section in question and it sounded like a Martian).

I decided that this should be an album, possibly one where all of the songs are a medley like my favorite album from Silly Girl’s 2nd favorite band of all time, Pink Floyd’s 1973 progressive rock classic The Dark Side Of The Moon, I hope that doesn’t bother anybody. Also, I’ve decided to let other people write some of the tracks.
Here’s the cover:
Fab Forum LP:
Tracklisting:
Side A:
1. All Hail The Beatles Bible (Arrangement by Overlord, lyrics by TBA, vocals by TBA) 2:12
2. TBA
3. TBA
4. Your Blues (Overlord) 3:18
5. Moves Like Hendrix (Overlord) 2:19
Side B:
TBA
As for the tracks, here you go, I rerecorded Your Blues while listening to a 120 bpm YouTube video of some guy playing drums. As for All Hail The Beatles Bible and Moves Like Hendrix (a title influenced by Maroon 5’s Moves Like Jagger, as well as the fact that it sounds like Jimi Hendrix), I used take 1 and just cut them at certain points, these tracks may be segued back together.

I think The Hole Got Fixed’s song would go great on side B, don’t feel bad though Holey, some of the best songs of all time are on the B-side of an album like A Day In The Life and It’s Late. Be warned, I will be recording something myself for every track on this album, so you will hear me one way or another on every track.

In reality, that would probably be too difficult.
Also, I’ve decided to let other people write some of the tracks.
And why wouldn’t we be allowed to write some of the tracks in the first place? I mean, it’s not as if we are starved for space… If we do decide to do an album, we will probably be starved for space.
Here’s the cover:
Shouldn’t the cover just be Joe? I mean, people come and go. A year ago, parlance would have been on there. And SPB’s avatar is now out of date.
