Thanks for the feedback @Dark Overlord ! I agree with you; it certainly needs some improvement. Have you maybe got some specific suggestions?
And don’t mind about not being able to read sheet music, after all, the Beatles mainly played by ear themselves!
Not once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

The recording is a little hot which means it is a bit loud so I think turn the recording down on the Mic would help you get a cleaner sound.

Thanks for the suggestion. Actually, I had to record it with my phone because I’m lacking any microphones. Maybe I could just stand farther away from the phone?

I actually liked the tone you got, the tone sounds oddly like George’s reversed Strat in I’m Only Sleeping , although you could reduce the volume using Audacity by going into the amplify setting and doing that.
Also, if you want some recommendations, here they are:
1. I think the song should have guitars, bass, and drums, as well as possibly a keyboarded instrument, such as a piano or an organ as the main instruments, just like The Beatles did back in the day, so I think that any brass, woodwind, or orchestral strings should be in the background, although they are still a welcome addition.
2. If there is going to be a sax part, I think there also needs to be another brass/woodwind part, luckily for me The Hole Got Fixed plays French horn, so we got that going for us, but a trumpet and trombone would be preferred.
3. We need to start with a backing track, preferably of rhythm guitar, bass, and drums, before we add anything else.
4. If we can have an extended length, I’d be fine with having multiple instruments doing the solo, but otherwise, I think the guitar should get the solo.
5. I would gladly like to mix this song, as well as adding some instrumental contributions.
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

You can reduce but it is much better to boost a slightly quiet recording then turn down a slightly loud recording.
So since some had problems with the lyrics proposed, anyone got some lyric ideas?

^^^ I think that might be a good idea, yeah. Maybe we could recycle a few lines from my set of lyrics.

Good idea. It would be sad to see your efforts go to waste! Maybe steal a few from Appleberry Army too.

That sounds like a good plan so far. But what about specific forum members? Do we want to include their names or not?
Maybe we should decide on that question so we can avoid future discussions.

I say no since active users change, like the users in 2013 were not the same as in 2015 or in 2017.
If any users are included, it should be Joe.

I agree that we shouldn’t put specific user’s names in the song. It will end up in someone getting left out due to being forgotten in the list of names.
