I saw on another forum that they made a song about the forum and preformed it so I think with all the musically talented people, we could Come Together and make a Beatles Bible Song.
Even if you aren’t a musician, you could write the lyrics, provide moral support, organization and more.
If anyone has any ideas on the song, feel free to share!
Edit by Ahhh Girl 1-5-18: the culmination of the Beatles Bible Band recording of With A Little Help From My Friends has been moved to https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..d/#p282441. The new project is picked up in that thread with this post https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..1/#p282808

Huh, and I have rather conveniently already written song lyrics about the forum! I’ll be sure to post them when I can get on my computer (I’m on mobile).

Maybe we can collect all the different instruments we play in a list so we know what we can use. How about everyone PMs their instruments to someone who then counts how many people play each instrument (if nobody else wants I can do the counting).
Not once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

Ok, I’ve done audio editing in the past but I’m not the best in the world at that,
I could organize who is doing what, with multiple people across the world, I think we should have some kinda simple melody type thing so people can coordinate.
You can just use your phone/computer mic and upload it to Youtube or something, then someone can take the song off Youtube for a simple option.

Ok. Here’s what I can do –
1. Record on my tablet
2. Download a video editor and paste the recording on top
3. Convert it, upload to my YT channel
4. Whoever is editing can download the MP3 for it and then I’ll choose if I want to keep it up or not.

I’ve got a MIDI setup with my keyboard and can record a basic instrumental track with vocal melody, and send it around to overdub harmonies, guitar solos, and whatever else we want on top.
@WeepingAtlasCedars I can also take a crack at putting those lyrics to music

What I would recommend is to simply use the instrumental track of an already existing Beatles song and replace the vocals with lyrics about the forum, similar to Komm Gib Mir Deine Hand in concept, but since I don’t think that’s the case, I could give you some advice on what instruments to use.

Problem is that could run into copyright issues on YouTube.

I guess that’s a big problem. Anyways, here’s some ideas for the instrumentation:
To start, we are going to want a backing track. As you may or may not know, The Beatles changed how they recorded their backing tracks throughout their career. From the beginning through Beatles For Sale , they typically recorded guitars, bass, drums, and vocals onto the backing track, for Help ! and Rubber Soul , they typically recorded guitars, bass, and drums on the backing track and added the vocals as an overdub, for Revolver through Abbey Road , they typically recorded guitars and drums on the backing track and added bass and vocals as an overdub, and for Let It Be , they didn’t use overdubs, so everything was recorded onto the backing track, with the exception of Phil’s orchestration, as well as some overdubs from tracks 3-5.
Here’s my idea:
Backing track:
rhythm guitar, bass, drums, piano
Overdubs:
vocals, lead guitar, percussion (such as tambourine, cowbell, maracas, etc.), additional lead guitar, additional keyboards (such as organ, synth, etc.), other instruments (maybe throw in some of ewe2’s uke playing somewhere or add a French horn part by The Hole Got Fixed or maybe even some various sound effects)

Sounds great! Here they are:
Forum Song (working title)
There’s a forum out there on the web
About the Beatles, you see
There’s plenty people on it, yep
Even including me
The Hole Got Fixed
The Vonbontee Brothers
And in the mix,
There’s plenty others
Zig, mmm, and Ahhh Girl too
Them’s the mods, y’know
They search the forum through and through
To keep the spamming low
Joe’s our trusted awesome admin
Of course, he made the site
And if we didn’t have ‘im,
It’d be such awful s***e
(Clean version: It wouldn’t be quite right)
The Hole Got Fixed
The Vonbontee Brothers
And in the mix,
There’s plenty others
sir walter, Starr Shine?, Ron Nasty
William Shears Campbell
Don’t forget good WeepyC
And plenty more as well
Little Piggy Dragonfly
Martha and SG
Say hello and don’t be shy
We’re friendly, thankfully
(But only once)
The Hole Got Fixed
The Vonbontee Brothers
And in the mix,
There’s plenty others
Sgt. Peppdog
I’m running out of time
ewe2, Bongo
That couplet didn’t rhyme
We’ll have to say goodbye
I hope everyone likes them; obviously we’ll have to do some editing but they’re a good start.

I’d love to do this! I’ll do whatever you need me to do (French horn, drums, vocals).
Lyric-wise, that’s very good!!!
Though some notable people you missed: Dark Overlord, Necko, ASJ.

Thanks WeepyC, these are really good lyrics to start with in my opinion!!!
Especially that ‘Only once’ part. I already imagine someone shouting them in the style of ‘arms, legs’ in Obladi Oblada

Thanks much, The Hole Got Fixed, and to everyone else as well!
I knew I forgot to write in some members. Thinking about it now, I forgot Evangeline too.
Oh well, I’ll try to write in another verse or two for them, if you’d like.

I think the specific user mentions don’t account for future members and potential users who quit posting. If we are going for a timeless theme we should stick to mentions of Beatles and qualities of the site, unless we want something more of the present, in which case mentioning as manu users as possible would be the move.
