Offline Yeah sorry the guitar is a bit loud. I was trying the vox out for where they might sit in the mix. Nothing wrong with your singing at all, just the mic distortion. If you can get a track that doesn’t distort, don’t worry if it’s a bit quiet, that’s manageable. Try to have the mic facing away from a corner if you can. I’ll be redoing the guitar to better match the vox later anyway. Any excuse to record with the new guitar 
I like the new drum track, it’s quite laid back; I do need to edit a little bit here and there, the feel is fine but I recorded the bass against the click track so its rhythm isn’t very forgiving, I just need to line things up.

The kick drum is seriously distorting the rest of the mix, especially the rest of the drums. Is that intentional? I feel like that technique works really well for a rock song but not necessarily reggae. That’s just my opinion though, I’d love to hear other’s on that.
I also think perhaps another guitar during the introduction to make it more full on, to also emphasise the drop to the reggae feel, might be cool (my inner light Phil Spector is coming out…)

This was literally a 5 minute job of dropping in the drums to rough a mix so don’t panic, ignore the sound and concentrate on the feel. Also I want to put some piano or organ bubble in there, it’s got enough guitars. Oddly, its getting very roots reggae with that feel, I blame the Scientist dub I’ve been listening to lately (if you haven’t heard of him, check out Scientist Rids The World Of The Curse Of The Vampires, classic dub album, where he basically savaged an album of Roots Radics tracks).

Ok, I’ll do some light percussion when I get a chance. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon.
No really, it’s a great drum track, it’s tight and fits the swing of the bass a bit better. I tried redoing the bass to fit it but they were swinging in different ways, sometimes the simple things are best. But some swingy percussion will do quite well!
Also the new audacity release has a nifty “lossless” save option which outputs all the tracks to wavs, which makes my hard drive happier and makes it easier to share projects, so I will be doing that in future.
